Ungstrup (39089) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 14, 2007
Bottled. A golden beer with a disappearing white head - hmm, it seems filtered, so maybe it is a Kristalweizen. The aroma is sweet wheaty combined with notes of oranges and light banana notes. The flavor is sweet malty and wheaty with light banana notes. The body is a bit light.

Bottle. Clear golden coloured with a white head. Aroma of bananas and malts with notes of spices. Flavour of malts and bananas with notes of spices. Watery.

Bottled. Pale golden colour, not much head. Aroma is wheat and bitter hops (?), it’s quite special. Weak sour fruitiness too. Flavour is malts, wheat and hops with weak bananaish hints... Aftertaste is wheaty and fruity. Not the typical German Hefeweizen.... Rich carbonation.

Golden coloured and crystal clear. Fruity, estery banana aroma. Clean with some wheat flvaour. A typical, refreshing German style Kristallweizen.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2011 (Bottle 34,5 cl) This beer is pure nostalgia to me. I remember having this in 1988 back at the Matilda Bay brew pub in Fremantle, when the beer was all new and exiciting. So how was the revisit?:
Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Vague wheat aroma with some yeast. Rather light-bodied, slightly sweet. Weak accents of fruit and yeast before a dry finish. Mostly resembles an American Wheat in style. Far from greatness, but thanks to highlandlad, for bringing back sweet memories. 140506

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2010 Not a bad wheat last time out (2001) but now Redback just sucks. Looks filtered, right off the bat a bad sign. Fresh banana nose is straightforward and all. The palate is soft, sweet with light fruit. The wheat shows mainly in the acidity in the back. This beer really misses the "Cloudy".

TBone (18665) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 15, 2006
Golden color, small white head - this is more like Kristallweizen, not "Hefeweizen". Light sweet mango-banana aroma, some sourish notes too. Dry, grassy, quite strange - a bit witbier-like flavor. Even similarities to New Glarus Spotted Cow which I sampled today earlier. Very unusual wheat beer.

HenrikSoegaard (14760) - Randers, DENMARK - MAR 24, 2007
Bottle. Frothy whte good mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Light hoppy and yeasty aroma. Not much hefe/fruit notes. Week flavor. Short finish. Oily palate. Not a good hefe.

madsberg (11817) - Søborg, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2007
Bottled. Pale yellow coloured. Clear. Off white head. Light yeast, light banana and light spice in the aroma. Flavour is light watery and bland. Some yeast, some banana and some spice as well as in the aroma. Is a bit artificial. Very thin bodied. Light citric and acidic end.
