Draft pint at The Stable, which released some leftover Mattingly beer because the brewery closed down a couple months ago. Pours a flat-looking, hazy orange-yellow with almost no head; what bubbles form around the edge are bright white. Aroma of orange citrus, floral hops, coriander, ginger, wheat, and perfume. Flavor follows suit, but the notes are so light and the body is so watery that everything is just too muted. Light-bodied, with minimal carbonation. If the mouthfeel were better I would have liked this a lot more. dwaggs2 (1297) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - APR 24, 2010
Tap at the brewery. Poured a hazy yellowish color with a tiny head that didn’t stay around too long. Aroma was grass, ginger, and orange peel. Flavor was much of the same with a strong ginger aftertaste. A smooth easy drinking beer. More of a summer beer. Good though. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 23, 2009
Tasted 7/20/09. Sample #1 from the Brewpub. Hazy with a golden hue. Floral and perfumy aromas with a nice orange citrus note. Light to medium bodied with a very pleasant citrus candy flavor. Chalky body with notes of orange and corriander. The bitterness in the finish must be from the ginger. Zesty effervescence. Good palate and a solid example of the style! kitschy (326) - Nebraska, USA - JUL 1, 2009
On draft at Parkville. An opaque yellow/white color. I really enjoyed this beer, with its mix of ginger and coriander. The ginger was a lovely and profound addition. vyvvy (6639) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 13, 2009
Poured clear golden yellow with a modest sized dense white head. The aroma had smooth orange, coriander and ginger all noticeable along with being clean and crisp. Medium / thin body with restrained sharp carbonation. The taste has the flavors from the aroma, but lacks the intensity. The finish has quite a bit of coriander and some phenolic spice flavors. The orange is almost muted. This is as bone dry a wit as I’ve had. I never thought I’d say this, but I think this may be a bit too dry. Some sweetness could help bring out the spices and fruit flavors better.

On tap at the brew pub. This beer takes "unfiltered" to a whole new level. There was scads of yeast that did a slow motion slide to the bottom of the glass. When empty the glass had nearly a half inch of yeast sediment. Aroma was sweet banana, coriander, and orange (or that might have been from the slice served with the glass). It was crisp and clean. Flavor could have been bigger but it was very refreshing and would be a great summer time beer. It had clove, banana and orange. Like the aroma, the flavor was crisp and refreshing. It felt creamy and a bit zesty. An excellent wit. dm9831 (1512) - Monee, Illinois, USA - FEB 1, 2009
hazy yellow pour, fluffy white head, some lacing. aroma of wheat, a trace of bananas. spicy flavor (mellissa the bartender says corriender), wheaty, but not very banana-y. a touch to fizazy, but not yucky. on tap at mattingly brewpub.
