A really nice looking well made stout. Roasted malts abound with hints of spice and yeast. A little chocolate on the palate. full body and flavor. Not seeing the low scores. It was quite good if a little different. I definitely appreciate the quality " Mariusz (11974) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - JUN 29, 2013

12 oz can. From alesbymail.co.uk.hopscotch (11182) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Black colour with a small tan head.
Roasted malt, berries, vinegar, mild sweetness and mild bitterness in the aroma.
The flavour is roasted malt, mild vegetables, dark chocolate, mild bitterness and mild ashy dryness. Quite drinkable but I was expecting more chili flavour.
Can... Murky dark brown ale with a small, fizzy, fleeting, khaki head. The nose is a lush marriage of vanilla and milk chocolate. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The flavor is full of carbonic roastiness, but is otherwise mostly bland. Finishes minerally and a touch acrid. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Brown color, tan head. Cocoa powder, chili peppers, roasted malt, some roasted nuts, burned toast. Nice beer but needs to pack a bigger punch IMO. allmyvinyl (10933) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 24, 2013
Can from Appellation Wines, Comely Bank. Pours very dark brown with a big tan head, which goes quite quickly. In fact, the carbonation dissipates very fast. Chocolate, liquorice, smoke notes. No chilli heat on the taste, which is a good thing, but otherwise the beer I’ve been least impressed with from this brewery. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 13, 2013
Canned @ home picked up at 287 Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a clear, deep brown appearance with a brown head. Rich dark chocolate, mild veggie, chili pepper, mild anise, dark fruity aroma. Fairly high carbonation. Cinnamon, vanilla, chili pepper, plum, dark grape, chocolate flavor. I’m not a huge fan of Belgian stouts, but this is ok. olio (10471) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 21, 2013

Pours pitch black color with a medium sized, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma of hops, chocolate, roasted malts and some caramel. Flavor of roasted malts, cocoa, dark chocolate and some mild fruity and vanilla notes. Low carbonation, roasty and malty palate. Very nice.
Black pour with a thin kahki head. Nose is a bit spicy and chocolaty--not spicy like heat, but like earthy cinnamon and herbal tones, with some raw cocao nibbs and a bit of roast. The flavor is a bit light but the body is mostly full, good roasted barley tones with a mild chocolaty sweetness, ending with a touch of earthy notes and some cinnamon. Not too keen on it overall, it’s chocolaty but earthy-bitter.
