3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz can. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Black colour with a small tan head.
Roasted malt, berries, vinegar, mild sweetness and mild bitterness in the aroma.
The flavour is roasted malt, mild vegetables, dark chocolate, mild bitterness and mild ashy dryness. Quite drinkable but I was expecting more chili flavour.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A really nice looking well made stout. Roasted malts abound with hints of spice and yeast. A little chocolate on the palate. full body and flavor. Not seeing the low scores. It was quite good if a little different. I definitely appreciate the quality "

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can... Murky dark brown ale with a small, fizzy, fleeting, khaki head. The nose is a lush marriage of vanilla and milk chocolate. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The flavor is full of carbonic roastiness, but is otherwise mostly bland. Finishes minerally and a touch acrid. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Can at home from uto beer borough. Aroma is choc, crisp chalky dry Roasty and later there is pretty heavy soap aroma. Lightish body. Flavour is earthy dirt, smooth roast and dry chalky finish. Some bramble berry esters. Pretty good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Canned @ home picked up at 287 Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a clear, deep brown appearance with a brown head. Rich dark chocolate, mild veggie, chili pepper, mild anise, dark fruity aroma. Fairly high carbonation. Cinnamon, vanilla, chili pepper, plum, dark grape, chocolate flavor. I’m not a huge fan of Belgian stouts, but this is ok.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
355mL can. $4. Pours darker, clear cola near black. Larger latte head formation with surprisingly weak retention dwindling to practically nothing in under a minute. Nose is suddy detergent, hints of tar and ash. Hints of smoked meat. Taste is bitter soil, ash, watery body. Weak palate.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can from Appellation Wines, Comely Bank. Pours very dark brown with a big tan head, which goes quite quickly. In fact, the carbonation dissipates very fast. Chocolate, liquorice, smoke notes. No chilli heat on the taste, which is a good thing, but otherwise the beer I’ve been least impressed with from this brewery.
