Can. Black pour with a tall, thick mocha colored head. Aroma is peppery spice, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is peppers, dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, soft cinnamon and chocolate milk. Body is medium but rather creamy and no real heat from the peppers. Ends with more pepper notes, chocolate cake, chocolate milk, soft cinnamon and roasted malt. zoucrew102 (2148) - - MAY 26, 2013
Can. Aroma is chocolate with notes of chillies. Pours black with a short light brown head. Taste is chocolate with a hint of spice from the chillies. Finishes smooth with a bit of cinnamon. Well-balanced between the chocolate and chillies.

Aroma: There is a lot of chocolate and roasted malt going on here. Some nice coffee ground smell. A tiny bit of smoke, even. Really smells quite good.
Appearance: This is a handsome, handsome brew. Completely opaque black/dark brown, with a solid, frothy dark brown head. Not tan, not off-white, but dark, dark brown. Handsome.
Taste: Good golly miss molly there is a lot of flavor here. Lots of chocolate up front on the arrival. Transitions to some spice and smoke, and ends on smoky pepper. The can mentions something about cinnamon--maybe it’s in there, but it doesn’t stand out to me really. The chipotle pepper is definitely there though. Great stuff!
Palate: Full bodied. Moderate-long finish.
Overall: What a nice find! The contrast between the bittersweet chocolate and the roasty smoky pepper is something you have to try!
Coffee, chocolate and charred wood on the nose. Black as night with a brown head. Smooth, lightly creamy body but not thick at all. Lots more dark chocolate and dark coffee with some nice honey and molasses sweetness. Definitely bitter, but probably more from the roasted malt. Good strong alcohol balance to all of this. The flavors stick to the tongue and last a good long time. brewballs (215) - USA - JUL 25, 2013
I haven’t heard good things about this brand of beer, so I was a bit apprehensive to try one. I have always heard their brews were mediocre and at best flavorless. Having said that I had to try this one. It’s strange because it does and it doesn’t taste like a stout. It has a super smooth head. Dark and chocolaty but sweet at the same time. Spicey notes with undetectable chili fire. It’s like the chili supports the sweetness of the chocolate to give it a smoother wash down. It’s an interesting take on a stout, more different than say an interpretation by Stone. I say try it. I always tend to save my stout consumption for the Fall or Winter, but this is a nice and refreshing Summer Interlude.

Can. Pours a dark black pour with a foamy rapidly dissipating java colored head. Nose is malt with chocolate and cinnamon. Taste is rich chocolate, creamy with some peppery spice. Finishes on chocolate malty peppery notes, with moderate lingering. Nice. Quaff Score 8 / 10 Beerhunter111 (22966) - P´Castle, GERMANY - FEB 6, 2014

From notes, consumed on 4/25/13. Can poured into a snifter. Pours black with a finger and a half of tan head. Aromas of clove, chocolate, ginger, cinnamon. Tasting notes of dark chocolate, roast, coffee, subtle chipotle and spices. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Was expecting this to be a bit better but still solid. On tap @ Chuck’s CD. Pours inky black, thin brown head, slightly watery. Aroma is dark lightly charred malt, with rich umami and soy sauce notes. Taste is clean, darkly roasted malt with lighter but still rich notes of milk chocolate, cinnamon, soy sauce, toasted chipotles with just a hint of heat on the finish. Very easy drinking. Hard to expect much more flavor than this from a stout...
