COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale was developed in Burton, England, as a "Super-Premium" hoppy pale ale around 1800. The extra strength in alcohol and hops helped preserve the beer on its long export journeys to India and beyond. The style developed a following worldwide. Its flavor begins with a smooth, malty creaminess followed with a big burst of dry-hop flavor from English Kent Golding Hops. It then finishes with a lingering yet pleasant bitterness.

Big Swell IPA is a fresh handcrafted India Pale Ale brewed with huge amounts of American hops and malted barley...dry hopped to perfection!

Can, 355ml - Semi hazy golden beer with a white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of pineapple, cola, bread and kiwi. Flavor is malty with notes of spruce, citrus, cooked corn and grass. Super promising aroma but a disappointing flavor. Shame it had too much DMS.

can - Pours orange with an off-white head. The hop led aroma is of citrus and pine. The flavor is bitter with resin and citrus notes and a solid underlying malt. Medium bodied. Quite nice.

Warm gold pour, quick white head with some lace too boot. Nose is pine resin. Bitter. Middle is splash of marmalade, medium kilned malt, oily coating to the tongue. Finish has a burst of citrus sweetness, balanced by that persistent woody bitterness. Balanced and enjoyable offering.

First had this in a can in London, now I'm drinking it from a can in Hawaii. The draft here seems to be dominated by kona. Great brew. Bitter, hoppy, fruity. Fantastic.

Semi hazy gold color with a creamy soapy white head of foam. Intense mango and pineapple aroma and flavor ease the palette right into a dry pine needle finish.
