On tap. Belgian aroma of cloves, bananas and low hops. Dark brown off white head. Dark roast flavor with belgian yeastiness and cloves/bananas. Very interesting and great beer.
On tap at Stone (a few months back). Pours with a nearly black hued body with a large tan head with great lace and retention. Aromas are roasty, fruity, citrus, pine, tons of esters, marmalade, spicy and grassy. Flavors are of citrus, marmalade, grassy, bready, dry and spicy. tap @ the brew pub. Pours a deep brown / black with a frothy off white head. Great nose of rye and roasted malts. Some light piny hops in the background as well. A damn tasty brew.....
On tap at Urge in RB/Poway on April 28, 2011. They had 8 different brews from Maui that day. Listed as Cascadian Rye IPA. Roasty and sharp, but too much smoke in the nose and palate for my liking.
