Black, with beige head. Aroma is not that powerful: sweet coconuts, coffee, roastiness. Taste is sweet: coconut, nuts, a bit of vanilla. As it warms, a pleasant chocolate feel hits you in the after taste. Good and easy drinking. dysenteri (323) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - MAR 16, 2017
Beautiful can from Beergium. Pitch black, with dirty beige head. Coconut, hazelnut, bread, cereal, nuts, a bit roasty on the nose. Leather. Very creamy mouthfeel, chocolate and coconut in the flavours. Good coconut porter, i like coconut in my porters thedm (6177) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 11, 2017
This canned brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a body with no visible carbonation that was semi-opaque and dark brown in color
with a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty with a mellow coconut base. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mild roasted malt aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of roasted malt and coconut. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. 60minuteman (1712) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2017
See through dark amber color. Looks lagerish. Sweet concentrated aroma of vanilla, coconut, chocolate and oak. It tastes crisp and not as much coconut or vanilla, favoring malt and hop. Lingering malted cream finish but more vanilla than coconut. Oh well. It’s easy to sip. shawnmurphy (495) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - MAR 2, 2017
Even though I’ve been to the brewpub in Maui years ago, I didn’t do a rating of their beers then. So, now on the mainland, 6,000 miles away from the source, I was able to taste it again, this time out of a can. It pours a dark amber-brown color, leaving a small creamy tan head that leaves behind some soapy lacing. I couldn’t pick much of anything out of the aroma, yet the flavor is quite good, especially as it warms. I detected milk chocolate, mocha, vanilla beans, dried cherries (to account for some sourness), smokiness from roasted patent malt, and a very faint toasted coconut taste. Fortunately, this is not a fruit-flavored beer, which I do not like. Unless you knew there was coconut in this beer, you’d struggle to identify that taste. The mouthfeel is light-bodied with some prickly carbonation. Nicely balanced with sweet and bitter.

Small, tight tan head, fair retention, skimpy lace. Black colored brew. Coconut nose, roast. Body is middlin, little oily, soft carbo. Dense roast, bittersweet chocolate and cocoa, coconut more tame in the flavors dept. but still pronounced. Dry, choco finish. Better than expected. This can,s gotta be 5 years old or so. Fairly yummy. Scipio (1077) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - FEB 24, 2017
Pours black with a medium beige head. The aroma is made up of mostly chocolate and coconut, with some coffee, roasted malts, and some minor vanilla as well. Some light sweetness is in the taste. It is very similar to the nose, with the flavors in here being well balanced. Perhaps roasted malts and coconut stand out most, while I still get chocolate and coffee. Short chocolate aftertaste. LIghter in body, with a creamy texture, and flatter carbonation. Pretty good. bigericsports (84) - Berkeley, California, USA - FEB 14, 2017
