Our Coconut Porter is a classic robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. It then finishes with flavors of toasted coconut and hoppy spice to balance the finish.

12 ounce can courtesy of Lt. Dan, thanks much. Tastes of chocolate and dark malt. The coconut was not as prominent as I was hoping. However, I think the beer may have froze in transit. If so, not sure what affect it would had on the taste. Overall, a very drinkable beer. I would like to revisit this in the summer months.

A toasted malt aroma with a hint of coconut and cocoa. Pours a dark black color with a creamy tan head. Medium body with a taste of smoked malt, cocoa and a hint of coconut, mildly bitter finish.

12oz can, Total Wine SDL. Dark brown with a frothy beige head and some lacing. Cocoa, toasted coconut, roasted notes, picks up some hops in the middle. Medium body. Coconut and milk chocolate finish. Nice.

Pours black, with a beautiful creamy tan head and some spotty lacing. Roasted aroma, with mild notes of coffee and chocolate. Mildly bitter, with an awesome mouthfeel, smooth and creamy, roasted malts, coffee, milk chocolate and coconut, mild and not overwhelming like in other coconut beers. Very nice, the only problem is that... it's too easy to drink and I only had one can!

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2017 Used to love this beer haven’t had it in years, maybe the recipe changed after Hiwa... unpleasant finish and a thin mouth feel.

A lovely being scarcely formed or molded,
A rose with all its sweetest leaves yet unfolded.

Can from my local Jiyugaoka AEON Liquors. Pours dark brown, almost black, some beige head. Deep toasted malty nose, creamy and with hints of coconut, not very strong though. Light coffee and cocoa as well. Taste has some light roast bitterness, overall still sweet and creamy, bitterness grows in mid-taste and falls into relatively dry, spicy milk chocolate + coffee finish. Quite nice flavourful porter, drinks easy and is very smooth. Quite well done.

I get the coconut. Very good, I love these types of stouts and porters......

Tap at craftsman in Austin. Cola black with medium off white head. Rich nose. Taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and creaminess. Toasted coconut. Nice body and soft mouthfeel. Pleasant finish.
