COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Overhead IPA is a fresh handcrafted double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from begining to end and not overly bitter, its hop aromas and flavours give hints of Guava, Passion Fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavours. Draught at St. Augustines, Vancouver
Hazy copper color, creamy head. Very light butter trace in the aroma, suspicious but not disturbing. But the hop flavor is excellent, and floats over a good malt base, moderately sweet; rich of fruits and resins. Fresh.
Excellent.

A: The pour is a medium amber color with a finger or so worth of slightly off-white head. S: Sweet tropical fruits and caramel malt, and thats pretty much it. Maybe a bit of sweet grapefruit, too. T: For as sweet as the nose is, theres a very sharp bitterness to the flavor. There is also a lot of alcohol flavor. At least there are some good grapefruit, pineapple, and pine flavors so this isnt a total bust. M: The body is medium and sort of syrupy for a DIPA. The carbonation is moderate. D: Not much here that I find pleasing in terms of a DIPA. Too sweet and just hot and boozy.

Golden-amber, thin head, mango and orange nose. Sweet and fruity character. Sticky malts have a touch of crystal. Nice hop character, maybe a bit too burly to truly enjoy more than a few sips, though.

On tap at St. Augustines, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is full of tropical fruits, including mango and peach, alcohol, and caramel malt. Flavour is quite hot, with loads of tropical fruits, alcohol, and enough caramel malt backing. Boozy, fruity and malty, but it works quite well, at least in small pours. Very good.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours opaque oatmeal/orange - like its cereal ground and swirled. Lots of hop aroma that seems pine. Med + body. Flavor is sweet caramel with pine and lots of exotic type fruits. Pretty tasty beer.

Tap at Maxs. Pours clear orange with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is biscuit and honey malt with pear and pineapple esters with spicy, floral, and citrusy hops. Flavor is moderate hops and heavy bitterness, light esters, supporting sweet malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Sample at GABF 10/08/2016, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. The beer is a hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. Tropical fruit, hops and malt in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of floral hops, tropical fruits and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
