3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Craft Beer Base. Big citrusy nose with some overripe dates. Lightly hazy medium gold straw color. Citrus, tangy fruity punch, peach, and caramel. Good enough, but not so much more than a standard IPA.

Not much of a departure from the big swell. Maybe a little more tame. Gave it a lower overall because I prefer the big swell.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at Maui Brewing Co brewpub, Lahaina, 2304/14.
Very lightly hazed golden amber with a moderate off white swirl and edgework.
Nose is bitter citrics, grapefrit, hoppy notes, orange pith, light pine, straw.
Taste comprises bitter grapefruit, light pine, straw, caramel malt, orange pith.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the close.
Decent IPA - probably the best beer I had on my visit to the brewpub.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
GABF 2013. Pours an orangish appearance with a cream colored head. Kind of stale like the other IPA I had by Maui at GABF. Papery, dull citrusy, cracker malty aroma. Bland malts, tangerine, somewhat herbal hoppy, stale flavor. I really wonder if this keg was sent in less than ideal shape.
