Can, pours a lemon color with a white head. Nose is grainy, bready and blah ! Taste is pretty straight forward ...grainy, flat , and dry typical of unflavored blonde ales. Finish is dry ...not a real lager lover, but it is a thirst quencher...always favored blonde ales with flavor additives. Quaff Score 6 / 10

Draft at Maui Brewing in Kihei.
Head is initially small, frothy, white, fully diminishing.
Body is light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a light note of green/chile pepper.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, moderately burning (chile).
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Pretty standard chile beer, nothing notable about it. patricks110 (2518) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 2, 2015
Not the worst beer ever but a bit unappealing. On a super hot Maui day a spicy brew didn’t help. Pours a bright golden straw colour with a thin off white head. Light toasted wheat malts, spicy hightlights. A nice clean crisp brew with a fuse! Theydon_Bois (20183) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2014
Keg at the brewpub, upper Kanapali Maui, 23/04/14.
Clear light golden with a moderate off white covering that retains well.
Nose is toasted malt, light spice, cereals, grass, lemon rind, corn, yeasty leanings.
Taste comprises citric peel, grass, chipotle, green peppers, straw.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp close with chilli heat evident.
Nice twist on the base beer - not too hot! thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 20, 2013
On tap in Maui @ brewpub, bitches! Aroma is grainy. Color is clear straw, thin head. Flavor is where this beer shines. Very similar to bikini blonde. But then the pepper comes in and there is a good amount of smokiness. Finishes with a nice balance burn, love it!

Powerful chipotle and smoke aroma, a bit deceptive for the degree of initial flavor imparted. Delivers a spicy kick in the back of the throat that lingers for much longer than it should. That’s really all there is to it. It’s fairly heavy bodied for a blonde lager, and not carbonated enough. mrcook32 (1) - - AUG 22, 2012 does not count
Spicy as advertised but does not linger on the palate. Good palate cleanser. Great session beer. Not for everyone. theisti (4157) - Kansas, USA - JUN 11, 2012
Approximately 3-4 oz sampler at the Brewpub in Lahaina, Maui. The pour is gold yellow, with not much of a white head. The aroma is a little earthy, dusty vegetal spice. The taste is big hot pepper (more than expected), with a clean malt lager behind that. The palate is light to medium bodied, decent carbonation level washed the heat away leading to a dry finish. Nice clean lager with clean pepper flavor. Well executed for the style. darrennelson12 (455) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 28, 2012
UPDATED: APR 4, 2012 On tap at Maui brew house .... very different. Strong spicy, chipotle notes. Taste was heavy on the spice ... very little mouth feel and no feel beer taste. Overall, it was different, not sure if I would buy it again. dinkle50 (1527) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Spicy chipotle finish. Aroma is very smokey. Thin mouth. Taste is all chipotle peppers. I don’t think I’d call this a beer. It is super unique though and the fact they got this to taste ok is amazing to me.
