Sampled at gabf. Looks lie a porter. I thought the coconut would be bigger. Lactic and cocoa. Rich flavor and feel. Nice. Ferris (16728) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 1, 2015
Draft - Deep dark chocolate and molasses notes with a touch of sweet coconut. Jet black with a rich brown head. Lots of nice roasty notes, dark chocolate, sweet coconut and a nice rich finish. Much like the original. ACHops (1665) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 10, 2015
On tap @ Chuck’s 85th. Listed at 9.4% here. Pours dark cola brown with a thin white head that fades quickly. Aroma is rich milk chocolatey dark malt with a light toasted coconut note on the back. Taste is similar - big, thick, rich milk chocolate malt with a great full mouthfeel. Coconut is present but lighter than the aroma, just as in the non-imperial version of this. Great rich flavor makes this a nice upgrade. kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Very dark brown and opaque. Creamy tan foam. Plenty of chocolate and coconut. Flavor is a little bittersweet but the finish smooths out with time.

Coconut aroma. Taste has notes of coffee, dark chocolate and coconut. The coconut isn’t overwhelming. jcos (1855) - Maryland, USA - JUL 9, 2015

On tap @ Growler Guys - Portland. Just about black in color with a tan head. Smells kind of like an Almond Joy. Dark chocolate, some toasted coconut, and a mild nuttiness. Good sweetness as well as some bitter coffee and roasted malts. Plenty of chocolate and a nice chewy coconut flavor. A little more body than the regular version. radagast83 (8533) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUN 13, 2015
Somewhere between a 2 and 4oz draft pour at SAVOR 2015’s Saturday night session. This one is very similar to their standard CoCoNut PorTeR. Poured a black-brown color with a medium sized light tan head. Aroma was malty, chocolate, tons of coconuts. Flavor was light shaved coconut, with dark malts, chocolates, coffee notes. Enjoyable, but I’d probably just stick the the more sessionable of the two. Travlr (26268) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2015
Draft. Opaque dark brown. Aroma of Mounds bar, no nuts. Tasty has toasted coconut, coffee, dark chocolate. Decent.
