Enjoyed at the Maui Brewing Co brewpub. Best Imperial Porter I have had to date. No contest. Aroma is of toasted coconut candy, and burnt chocolate. Taste is rich chocolatey coconut, just like the regular version of this beer... except the body is HUGE and the roasted coconuts, the sweet toasty malt, and dark chocolate flavors linger forever. This brew is INCREDIBLY impressive. I’m loving it. Too bad they don’t bottle....err... can it. papajohn (1250) - San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA - NOV 10, 2011
On tap at Urge Gastro Pub RB: Dark-dark brown with a thick dark tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate and vanilla. Flavor starts rich dark chocolate followed by vanilla and a hint of coconut with a light bakers chocolate bitter finish and maybe a hint of anise. Body is thick and creamy like a double dark chocolate milkshake with moderate carbonation. Twostal (42) - - JUL 3, 2016

Keg at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a pitch black with a small, quickly dying head. Aroma is dark chocolate and coconut - a dark chocolate Bounty. Taste is really rich, with toasted coconut up front, then dark chocolate (an inversion from the taste - nice feature). Bourbon, treacle, coffee, malt and a touch of caramel also there. Big full body, but it isnt cloying. Long, long finish, and a very pleasant one, due to the lovely favours. This wins. Brilliant.

On tap at the brewpub. Just when I thought Maui Brewing’s coconut porter couldn’t be any better... Wow, this is just excellent. Full of fresh coconut flavor and milk chocolate. Thick, creamy body that’s cut thinner with the extra alcohol (which by the way was list at 9 . something % at the brewery). Finishes with more coconut, cocoa and chocolate. An awesome dessert beer, very unique and well done. danielcurtis81 (1519) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 31, 2011
Served on tap at the Maui Brewing Brewpub. The appearance is a beautiful midnight black with a micro to small tan head. The aromas ooze with intense toasted coconut, heavy coco and dark chocolate, and a light alcohol dose. The flavors enter with the coconut leading the way. The rich malty profile soon fills the whole mouth with gooey dark chocolate bar notes. The coconut reappears on the finish to bring everything full circle. The mouth is pretty full bodied with a great creamy richness to the feel. An excellent beer, I feel very fortunate to have had the timing to get to try this while I was in Maui. 750ml bottle. Rich toasted coconut aroma with notes of roasted malt, chocolate and a bit of coffee. Pours deep brown with a decent mocha brown head that has some retention and lacing. Starts with roasted malt flavors with a nice amount of chocolate sweetness. Finishes smooth with sweet and creamy coconut flavors with a hint of coffee. Quite nice. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - MAY 20, 2011
Real dark. Average tan head. Sweet and sugary chocolate nose. Rich full body. Totally a desert beer. You can taste the coconut a little. The finish is sweet.
