Pours a hazy orange with two fingers of quickly settling rocky white head. Aroma is fruity, pineapple, bread. Flavor is fruity up front, peach, pineapple, papaya, with mildly bitter bread/dough/wheat tones. Alcohol is noticeable in finish. Moderate carbonation and light body. Significantly fruity and noticeably warming, this is a unique beer. Not quite my type of beer, but a high quality brew nonetheless. The bitterness doesn’t quite work with the fruit. bhensonb (15235) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Can from Bine & Vine. Pours kind of golden copper with a transient white head. Aroma is a bit earthy. Then a hint of melon? Full bodied. Flavor is earthy and a little nutty/roasty. Not sure I’m getting fruit, but there’s something that could well be. I have no idea what breadfruit tastes like. Finishes fairly dry and sort of earthy bitter. It’s very nice when I quit worrying about what it is. XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Has some sweet fruit aromas and some earthy funkiness. Cloudy golden color with white chunks in it. Taste is a bit of fruit and earthiness, has a copper tasting finish. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Grainy, fruity nose. Papaya or peach or something, herbal, a little pepper. Strange. Pours golden amber, frothy white head. Flavors of grain, peppery earthy notes, peach, papaya, and more grain. Easy to drink for an imperial golden ale. Interesting to drink. SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Can. Pours hazy light orange with white head. Aroma has some pleasant fruity notes and light malt backbone. Flavor is much the same, slightly hard to describe. Light, soft mouth feel with high carbonation. Overall, is OK.

Can from World beers. Hazy orange-gold pour with a brief, short white head leaving little lace. Nose is fruity with citrus hops and a pilsener-like yeast and malt aroma. Medium body with light carbonation. Peaches, oranges, Hawai’ian sweet bread, pears and citrus hops. Finish is medium, pleasantly sweet and lightly bitter. I tend to like specialty grain ales as a nice change of pace, but perhaps not everyday beers. This one fits that pattern. Well worth a try. Danyel (1606) - Colorado, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Can. Hazy orange with white head. Smells wheaty, slight fruit. Tastes creamy, foamy, light, a touch of fruitless, pepper, bitter finish. Nothing too exciting, not terrible. Very middle of the road. JK (6162) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - DEC 13, 2012
GABF, 2012. This one sounds more interesting that it is. I was expecting exotic flavors that I might not recognize, but what is there is sweetness with crackers. Gold color. Clean finish. MattH (863) - California, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Can. Aroma is strong banana, alcohol, and pear. Taste is sweet. Heavy thick body. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - DEC 9, 2012
12oz can. Pours a slightly hazed honey golden with average slightly off white head. Bit of juicy tropical fruit, light honey, peppery spice, boozey white grape tannins, maybe a touch soapy. Tight prickly carbonation. Light maltiness hits first, some peppery floral perfume sweetness, finishes with dried papaya and apricot sweetness.
