Sampled at an ESBLS tasting, thanks to Hayduke. It poured a clear copper color with no head. The aroma was tropical pineapple juice with a nice bready note. The taste was noticeable hop bitterness with a slightly sweet and fruity medium body. Nice. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 3, 2013
Can at Antenna America. Orange gold colour, creamy gold head. Aroma is tropical fruit, bit citrus, bready malty. Bit weird. Taste is interestingly fruity, get the bread. Pretty nice but maybe one was enough. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Can... Poured hazy amber/orange with a thin, slightly off-white head. Earthy tones, bready malts. A yeast character similar to DFH beers for sure. Some citrus, bitterness, and astringent rind tones too. Fizzy, foamy, full mouthfeel. theisti (4113) - Kansas, USA - JUN 12, 2012
Approximately 3-4 oz sampler at the Brewpub in Lahaina, Maui. The pour is a light haze golden amber, with a light tan head. The aroma is light candy sweetness and a strawberry fruit character (that’s the breadfruit, perhaps?). The taste is big on the sweet fruitiness, the strawberry, along with a bunch malt, a bit of dustiness, and finally a touch of Dogfish yeast. The palate is medium bodied, quite dry, and natural sweetness throughout. Interesting, well executed. maekchu (3847) - Hirakata, JAPAN - APR 11, 2013
Can from Asahiya. Thick pear juice, tropical fruits, hops, and rust in the nose. Golden straw color, fine white head, some lace. Malty, and somewhat harsh initial / sort of balances out with hops in mid / light bitter finish emerges from solid trop fruit. Medium body. Another push the limits beer? Tastes like a really well-made malt liquor. I have no idea what toasted papaya seeds should add to the mix.

12 oz can via Lubiere, cool, tulip. Clear deep golden with a fair off-white head. Sorta vaguely fruity with boiled cereals, faintly citrusy with light tropical notes, a bit dusty, a touch resinous, pleasant if a bit unfocused. Medium+ body with moderate, fine effervescence. Fairly fruity, alcoholic, reminds me of a Belgian ale, sorta bready and yeasty with a touch of spiciness, a touch tropical and citrusy, not bad; dry with some bitterness and a boozy, vaguely fruity finish. Lower abv would have been nicer. The beer isn’t bad, it just is somewhat unfocused. Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 26, 2013

The beer is very light orange and completely transparent with a half inch of white head. The aroma offers tropical fruit, alcohol, sweet malt, oddness. Weird flavor as well. Like a cloying mixed drink. Light spice. Lots of boozy sweetness. Not my thing.

12 oz can. Pours a cloudy amber with full foamy head and lots of carbonation. Aromas of toasty creamy malts and melons. Smooth and full. Thick doughy flavors with hint of hops and grass. Interesting. Really creamy and thick. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - JAN 22, 2013
Can; poured an orange-amber color with a big frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, a touch of sourness, alcohol and herbs. Flavor was more muted than I expected, which was good because I don’t think I love the flavor profile. Some tartness, too aggressive yeast and fruit notes, with a rather short finish. Curiously odd but interesting beer. Cloudy; thinnish head. Very bready and earthy. Chewy texture with some alcohol burn in the aftertaste. Hot fusel nips. Slightly cloying. Pleasant fruitiness in the background. Mild bitterness.
