COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dogfish Head superstar – Sam Calagione, will be our fearless collaborator! The result – a beer-epiphany never before innovated called Liquid Breadfruit!

To celebrate the cornucopia of a Maui-grown harvest, we will ingeniously combine local breadfruit (or ulu) & toasted papaya seeds into the recipe of an imperial golden ale fermented using Dogfish Head’s DNA (Delaware-Native-Ale) yeast. You won’t want to wait until October to try it, but oh it will be worth the wait!

$3.10 Bottle. Wine Warehouse. Charlottesville. Pours clear golden with an inch and a half of off-white head. Smells of hops, apricot, and other fruits. Tastes of grass and bitter grain.

Curiously odd but interesting beer. Cloudy; thinnish head. Very bready and earthy. Chewy texture with some alcohol burn in the aftertaste. Hot fusel nips. Slightly cloying. Pleasant fruitiness in the background. Mild bitterness.

Golden in color with a slight haze. Lightly sweet aroma with alcohol hints and light maltiness. Moderate fruit sweetness, like a tirple and a bit of earthy character in the finish.

This not too surprisingly has an unusual fruitiness to it. If you would ever garnish a beer with a tiny paper umbrella, this would be that beer. Really quite tasty and points for originality.

Aroma of tropical fruit... Deep orange in color... Flavor is sweet and citrusy up front, sucrose on the palate, finishes with hints of citrus hops... Interesting tangy flavor... Definitely worth a try ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a copper orange color with a finger of stocky tight bubbled foam. On teh nose its got some sweet tropical fruit punch, sourdough bread and a little creamsicle. On the palate its a bit heavier on the caramel malt than I expected and has a big hop bitterness that really draws out and get a touch of phenol in the lingering finish. But the juicy fruit punch add to the flavor complexity and balances the bitterness a bit. Thanks adnielsen !

Clear orange-amber with a small white head. Light lacing. Mild aroma; some tropical fruit and bread. Taste is semi-sweet and very slightly bitter. Medium bodied and smooth. Very easy drinking and surprisingly strong. Good, but for a collaboration brew involving two quality brewers, this is surprisingly nondescript.

Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 10, 2012
In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a blonde colour with a thin white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple and alcohol with a lovely fruity character. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Lovely.

Beautiful golden tangerine pour with a tightly packed ivory head that left incredible webbing inside the glass. Nose is subtle, subdued with yeast, biscuit, tart fruit, and some floral notes. Flavor is semi sweet with a unique sour finish. Honey, freshly baked bread, tropical fruit, and alcohol. This surprised me with the warming qualities. Different. Enjoyable. Give it a go.

12 oz. can from Total Wine - Pours a hazy amber color with a one finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is esters and spice. Finish is lingering esters. Flavor is the same. Medium body. An uneventful and disappointing beer. Do people really like these goofy beers?
