Sampled at the brewery. Good nut brown pour. Soft malty nose that is slightly smoky. Creamy texture, medium body, and a smooth finish.

(Draught) Pours a dark brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted grain, nuts, cocoa, caramel, and raisins. Flavor of roasted grain, raisins, caramel, and subtle coffee undertones.

Tap @ the brew pub. Pours a medium reddish brown with a small off white head. Nose of biscuity malts and light roasty characters.

yemenmocha (659) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - JAN 30, 2010
Favorite beer on tap at brewpub, winter 2010. This mild is a dark amber with a dessert-doughy like nose, reminding me of a cake batter or cookie dough. On the palate there’s a soft sweet malty component that reminds me of Whitbread ale’s malty sweetness. Easy drinking, and nicely sessionable with the low abv. Brewpub board indicates only 20 IBU’s.

I’m quite impressed. Very laid back and pretty authentic. There is a mildly unfortunate soapiness to it though.

3.6
Capa (3298) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - JAN 6, 2010
Brown with a nice tan head. Not much in the way of hops. Some chocolate and toasted caramel malt. Very brown ale like. A very easy session ale that I could stick with all night.
