Pours a hazy dark amber color with a medium fluffy white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of mildly tart cherry, grainy malt and earthy yeast. The finish is fruity with a caramel and cherry aftertaste. Decent overall. high_on_hops (809) - Burlingame, California, USA - SEP 26, 2012
Pours a cloudy amber color with a short tan head. The tart cherries and sweeter tropical fruit comes through in the aroma, along with a faint hop aroma. The flavor is tart fruit up front with a sweeter middle and slightly sweet and tart aftertaste.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph. Hazy red amber with a small, frothy, off-white film head. Aroma is mild, some soft cherry, strawberry, light malty. High carbonation, dry and fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, light cherry, soft metallic. A bit of milky chocolate. Not that great. mmmbeer (1433) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 24, 2012
12 oz. can into a shaker it went- served a heavily murky with several floaties, the color is brown and heavy shading of darkened maroon. Off pink head quickly went away, aroma of dirty wheat, dark cherries, and almost a starfruit note. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt gets dominated by cherries right from the start, virtually no middle, finish has a whole lotta tropical fruit. It was gone in less than 1 minute with a smile- so that must mean it was good (from Spec’s- University Round Rock). theisti (4238) - Kansas, USA - SEP 23, 2012
12 oz can courtesy of bvc. The pour is a murky copper burgundy with a one inch off white head that falls with splotchy lacing. The aroma is cherry tart, tropical fruit, and an earthy rich maltiness. There is a light dirtiness of the earth. A hint of mineral is present on the nose as well. The taste is immediately tart cherry, moving quick to a bright tropical fruit sweet (passion fruit, I imagine) and then opening up into the earthy, mineral, faintly ashy malt. Really unique flavor, the tart of the cherry, fruit sweet, then dry earthy malt work together well. The palate is medium bodied, high level of soft tingly carbonation, and the mineral dry finish. There is a bit of tannin present here too. Interesting beer, thanks for grabbing this for me Brandon.

Pours.strange ruby red with little head. Nice tart aroma. Flavor is very tart up front with that pretty much lingering the whole time. Not much else, not bad though. DubC5000 (305) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Tamarind aroma, some caramelized sugar. Watery, earthy taste with mild bitterness. Unexpected rich, toasty aftertaste. arondee (601) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Pours a hazy purple red brown color. Aroma is fruit, cherries and funky yeast. The taste is carbonated bitter water and a fruit like substance. It’s got the strangest flavor I can’t even really explain it. What I can say is that I don’t like it and I don’t want another. I love a couple of the beers from Maui Brewing but unfortunately this one is a failure for me. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2012
On tap. Pours an opaque amber with an off-white head. Sweet caramel in the nose with a spicy edge and a vague phenollic whiff. Medium-bodied, a lightly tart fruity or berryish edge - not too sure what that is, but it’s quite exotic. Dry and lightly tart finish. A nice and different take on a cherry beer - as it turns out. 180912 boFNjackson (4230) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 17, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 19, 2012 Tap @ Fifteenth Ave. Hophouse... Poured dark reddish/maroon with a thin, light tan head. Sort of meh. Easy drinking but overall non-descript. I didn’t get a whole lot of fruitiness in this, instead dark caramel malts, mild bitterness with twigs and mild berry-like tones. And a vegetable-like quality. I’m thinking maybe tainted lines? But with what I have heard about this beer it doesn’t surprise me how lackluster it was.
