Probably the worst beer yet (at Maui).... Not an amber guy, but this is really not good... Soapy and not refreshing, kind off flavor, didn’t have high expectations either... Alphadelic (2237) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 26, 2011
Light amber. Not much of a smell to it, cereally. A good rendition with a little extra bitterness to it. Grassy and a little peppery. Super carbonated. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - NOV 2, 2010
Gold pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of light semi sweet caramel malt. Light sweet malt with a nice bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Nice surprise. Vikingbrew (193) - Colorado, USA - OCT 6, 2010
On tap. straw color. moderate head. light hopped with moderate earthy malt. Slight citrus aroma. Medium malt flavor with piney hops. Medium light body. Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 21, 2010
Tap @ the brew pub. Pours a pale yellow with a bubbly white head. Nose reminded me of a dank wet floor, not in a bad way. Some subtle yeast flavors followed by clean dry finish.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2010 From draft sampler on August 2, 2010 at the brewpub. Subtle musty/sour (but not unpleasant) aroma, VERY pale yellow color, moderate bittersweet flavor that’s not quite like anything I’ve had before. Beer was described on the brewpub’s chalkboard list of current brews on tap as a California Common, a style I don’t recall having previously though I’ve certainly heard about it. Quite good. ADDENDUM: Of course I’ve had California Common before--Anchor Steam Beer. How could I forget that one? Sheesh... manuchampions (1244) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 21, 2010
Sample at Maui Brewing in Lahaina. Poured an off gold with thin head. Aroma was slightly smoky, mild hops with thin malt back. This beer seems to lack depth and substance. It’s flavourful and well crafted but ultimately unsatisfying.
