Golden/orange colour with small bubbly beige head, which still lasts long. Aroma of citrus fruits and hops, Flavour is grassy hops with some hints of caramel. Very dry grassy aftertaste.
[Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm] Clear golden. Fruity and sweet with evident notes of honey. There’s some grain and a touch of grassy hops, followed by light resiny biterness. Too sticky. madmitch76 (24789) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2010
2nd January 2009. Bottle. Clear gold beer - not much head. Crisp palate. Just a tiny bit of hop aggression. The honey is supposed to give a sweet finish but only manages to prevent a bitter one. A bit watery. cgarvieuk (24456) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 4, 2007
Golden yellow colour ... Tight white head ... lots of grapefruit hop in front ... light malty honey linger. harrisoni (18572) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2007
500ml bottle from the brewery. Bottle condition. Copper colour with thin off white head. Earthy hoppy honey, it’s fine, little bit muddy. Honey gives it some structure. It is a bit muddled, but I kind of like it. Then again, I like honey beers. Drinks fuller and stronger than 3.7%. Aroma reminds me of Goachers fine light ale. Has that marmalade thing. Tasty

Cask, Newark Fest 09. Golden orange with a small white head. Aromas are toffee malts with honey and resinous lemon. Some biscuit with light spices and floral notes. Flavours are biscuit malts with citrus and dark honey. Fairly sweet with herbal notes. Decent. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2007
Cask conditioned - handpump - The Globe Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a white head and lacing. The aroma is sweet and honeyed. Not overly sweet like a lot of beers with honey in. The taste is quite smooth and the honey sweetness comes through. Decent. Svesse (8595) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 12, 2006
(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Colour is pale amber, with a firm, frothy head. Nose is fruity with citrus (orange, mandarin) and a grassy, fresh hop character. Taste is fruity with notes of citrus and a nice hoppy character. Starts rather sweet, turns a bit drier, with a hoppy, a bit metallic, finish. Nice and refreshing. Cask, The Elephant, Faversham A famous real ale pub in the home town of Shepherd Neame - for years the only pub in the town that wasn't owned by Sheps, though it has now been joined by a Wetherspoon. May Bee is a honeyed ale, though there is little evidence of the honey. A noticable sourness which increases toward the finish. A nutty sweetness comes along in the finish. There is a memory of honey at the edges along with some red wine. Not impressed. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2008
Cask at paisley beer fest. Alround rating: Standard golden bitter, honey and grassy hay hop. Decent but lacks character.
