12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, bottled in fall 2015. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, grass, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Oktoberfest style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. This was a touch hoppy for the style, but everything else was spot on. A very enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle, thanks to robotopera. Clear kind of light brown color. Bigger off-white head. Good nuttiness, toastiness to the aroma. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Mild slick. Good fullness to the texture. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Pretty solid, tasty oktoberfest, better than expected. Nice to enjoy with my sandwich.

Bottle. Clear copper pour with very little head. Aromas are sweet grains, bread, and fruit. Tastes moderately sweet. Mostly bread with some light caramel and grassy hops. Medium body. Very dry finish. Average beer.

Copper color out of the bottle with a fluffy ivory colored head. Sweet malty nose. This is a sweet malty beer with lots of malts, brown sugar and lightly toasted white bread. There is a hint of lemon tang. Okay Oktoberfest.

Draft - Caramel with some dark grain notes. Clear copper with a decent white head. Grainy with some caramel and a light bitterness. Finish is grainy.

Aroma of malt and hops, amber color with a short lasting head. Delicious taste of malt and hops with a dry feel and a chalky malt finish.

Pint at Maumee Bay on 9/7/13. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Malty and caramelly nose with lager yeast and crisp noble hops. Malty and caramelly flavor with a lager yeast character before a crisp noble hop finish. Straightforward, but very well done for the style.

Maumee bay oktoberfest pours rich copper with a small white head. Nose is happy malt with hints of caramel. Taste is more of the same malt happiness with caramel throughout mild hops. Good finish.

Sample at the brewpub: This beer pours a dark reddish-amber color with a nil off-white head. Thin, spotty lacing. The aroma is malty with a fair amount of hops as well. Medium body with more bitter hops than are usually found in the style, however the malt base is still there. The finish is soft and sweet without much lingering malt. Just average.
