Awful. An absolute disaster. Perhaps it was contaminated. Bad aroma, unpleasant taste. I said bye and then it went down the drain.

25cl bottle, thanks to my Mom for bringing this back from Spain with her. Best by is "11/12". Minimal light brown head, with a sort of gray tinge. Very dark brown color. Virtually no lace. Is a marzen supposed to be this dark? Nice, dry texture, crisp carbonation. Toasty malt aroma. Initially, it’s at least interesting. But then the awful aroma begins to rear it’s ugly face. A distinct black olive aroma comes through, especially during the finish, which is especially repulsive for me because I hate olives (they are likely my least favorite food). Also, I noticed some sort of black flake floating on the surface of the beer - what the hell is that? This beer went downhill very fast. Light bitter taste, terrible aroma and appearance. I don’t know if it had anything to do with the beer, but a third the way through I started to feel really sick and hot. I feel like it did, because after pushing the beer away, I felt better in 10 minutes. Was this how the beer was intended to be? Drain pour. Come on, Spain, you can do better than this
