Draft to taster at the downtown brewpub. Looks subpar for an IPA; a completely transparent light golden orange with white lacing. Smells and tastes of hops and pale malt with a touch of soapiness. Meh.

Tap. Pours hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is citrus and with hints of hops. Smooth and fruity with lingering citrus taste. Dry and crisp finish.

I live for IPA but this was almost undrinkable. There was an overpowering aroma of grapefruit which I can only say reminded me of urinal blocks. Unfortunately this disguised any other flavours whuch might have been present.

Location: Draft at Max Lagers, 4/17/13

Aroma: It has a clean citrus hop nose, with some pale malts and some spice as well
Appearance: It pours a hazed orange color, with a small white head, and minimal lace
Flavor: The flavor is medium-plus bitter early, with a clean malt backbone, and a bitter finish
Palate: The body is medium, it has a fairly average carbonation, a good feel, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: Very solid IPA. Clearly the only conclusion I can draw it that either I got the short end of the stick last time, or the beers have drastically improved.

Cask at the Atlanta Cask Ale Fest. Pours a clear golden orange with a bubbly white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has some bitter citrus with a touch of grapefruit, resin and a sweet grain backing. Flavor is more resinous with a bit of grapefruit and a touch of onion towards the finish.

Cybercat (6139) - Georgia, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Pours a beautiful clear golden amber - no head, but this is the way it got poured. Hoppy aroma has an undertone of grapefruit and sour orange. Flavor is hoppy with a typical citrus undertone - fair to middlin’ but still enjoyable. Bitterness is minimal. Texture has good fizz if average firmness, leaving a nice hoppy and somewhat greenwood finish. It not great, still worth a try if you like IPAs.

burg326 (5604) - Florida, USA - OCT 19, 2012
On draft at brewpub, pours a darker yellow color with aromas of light caramel, citrus, and some hops. Flavors are the same nice citrus taste, some light caramel, and light bitter aftertaste, decent IPA overall.

Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 12, 2012
On tap at brewery - Nice dark yellow with a white head. Citrus hops aroma. Nice balance of hops and malt. Good beer.
