GBBF Day 4. Cask. Light haze on this paleish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Nice condition. Light sweetish pale malts. Light sweetish floralness. A modest lemony tangerine citric vibe. Light finish. Quite a sweet golden.

Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2015
Keg from Market Tavern, Durham, £4.34/pint. Aroma is sweet and malty. Mid-golden beer with thick white head. Interesting choice by the pub to carbonate it like a lager adds to refreshing nature of the beer. Grainy, sweet, malty taste that sits thick on the palate. Not at all unpleasant but not one I’d want too drink too many of for fear of it becoming sickly.

On cask at the Library in Durham. Appearance - golden with a very slight hop haze and a nice head. Nose - lemon and malt. Taste - more lemon barley water. Some herbs on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent example of the style.
