Pretty nice discovery while visiting Utrecht. I didn’t know this brewery but they have quite some good beers. Different than the usual watery beers they serve in bars. Nice balance between hops, malts and alcohol. Drinks away nicely , but stays a far to gentle beer..

Angenehmes Aroma nach Malz und Karamell mit einem Hauch Frucht. Geschmack leider mit einer störenden, überlagernden Röst-Bitternote wie verbranntes Karamell. Im Abgang relativiert sich die beißende Bitterkeit.

Tasting glass from tap at Maximus Proeflokaal. Appearance: amber with medium off-white head. Aroma: caramel, sweet malts, raisins, some apricots and spice. Taste: high sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of caramel, sweet malts, raisins, apricots. Palate: medium bodied, oily to sticky texture and medium carbonation.

Keg at 't taphuys. Pours deep amber, nose is malty, toffee, floral, taste is similar, light fruit.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a big tan head. Caramel, peach, red apples, slightly herbal, a little boozy, grains, grass. Light sweetness, turns velvety bitter. Medium body, with lively but soft carbonation. Loads of IPA character, lovely hop notes. Delicious. But I wouldn't have guessed this was a lager in a blind tasting.

At my home together with Yves amber colored body with a white head and with a spicy fruity malt aroma a spicy fruity malt hop caramel bitter taste with a bitter finish

Shared with wim at his home. Darker amber colored beer with small white head and no carbonation. Malty fruited aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet hopped bitter.

Bottle from Jumbo, pours dark amber-brown with a thin head. Pine, citrus and red fruit on the nose. Toasty malt and firm pithy bitterness. Light notes of caramelised Seville oranges and toffee.

Jesper86 (164) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2017
Orange brown colour. Oranges and grapefruit. Subtle undertone of caramel. Slightly creamy. Present bitterness.

Bottle at Cafe 21. IBU is 35 according to the bottle. Can’t add that info through the app. Amber color, white curtains /head. Vigorous pour by the server. Well... Aromas of caramel, citrus. Medium bitter, light sweet. Medium fullness, long aftertaste of bitterness like a grapefruit.
