Bottle 33cl, a golden beer with good head. Nose is hopy on the fruit side such as orange, pineapple and apricot. Aroma is on sweet malt with fruit hops such as cascade and nelson sauvin profile, medium bitterness for an ipa, grassy touch at the finish. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - SEP 26, 2013
Amber brown body and clean appearance. Very clean aroma reminiscent of an English IPA yet with clearly American hops, and enough of them too. Light toasty malt base, clean again. Medium bitterness, not terribly complex but it shouldn’t be. Nice one. (On tap at Borefts 2013) skortila (5905) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - FEB 7, 2015
On tap @ Maximus. The aroma has lychee, grapefruit, some grass, little biscuit malts. Bit hazy, golden-copper coloured beer with a medium, white head. The taste is light-moderate bitter and has tropical fruits, biscuit malts, hint of caramel. Almost clean and quite dry in the finish. Good. Christos (5855) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUN 23, 2015
(Maximus Highhops) Bottle 330 ml at Cafe Samson, served in its glass. ABV 6%
Clear body, deep orange golden in colour. Tall and thick white head with very good retention.
Aroma has fruity notes, kind of tropical, caramel malts.
Taste also of caramel malts, light grass, tropical fruits, peach, with nice bitterness.
Medium body, good carbonation.
Quite good. JulienHuxley (5844) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 20, 2013
Tap at Arendsnest. Hazy gold pour with super frothy white head. Aroma is quite citrusy/piney, very good hop aroma, enticing (simcoe would be my guess?). Taste is bitter, nice clean maltiness, light honey maybe just a touch of caramel, fruity hop flavor, citrus zest. Palate is med bodied with -light-med carbonation, very refreshing.

33cl, as Maximus Highhops 6, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2012, brewed at De Proefbrouwerij, from Biernavigatie Webshop, complex bitter brew, malty/floral/fruity and slightly bitter/woody, balanced, clear, good head, nice brew Maakun (5748) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 23, 2014
Golden with big off-white head. Grassy and lots of fruit, with a mild underlying fresh dough. Not a lot of sweetness, mostly fresh tartness and bitter finish. Medium bodied and very lively feel. Great stuff. minutemat (5662) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2015
330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr. Pours clear amber with small off-whit ehead. Underlying malts and bitter tones with less hops than expected given the name. In that sense was a little disappointing and not a lot going on to really distinguish itself. Alengrin (5438) - BELGIUM - FEB 21, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2016 My first beer from this new Utrecht brewery, an American-style India pale ale. Egg-white, moussy, stable head of medium thickness, supported by strong sparkling; colour a warm pinkish orange, slightly hazy, reminding me of a sunrise in September... Lovely aroma of citrussy hops and tons of fruit, forwarding impressions of fresh orange and mandarin, pink grapefruit, honey, banana, caramel candy, sweet white grapes, fresh mango, strawberries, vanilla extract, apple cake, fruit yoghurt, burnt wood, roasted peanuts, pine needles, toasted bread... Vividly fruity onset, mango, persimmon and dried apricot, sharp and minerally carbonation, hop bitterness setting in almost immediately (i.e. sooner than expected), only to increase towards the finish, over a backbone of nutty, subtly toasted and lightly bready malts, smooth and light on the tongue but not lacking in body; some spicy yeastiness accentuates the long, bone dry, peppery and floral, tonic water- and grapefruit-like hop bitterness which will stick with you for a long time. Both florally aromatic hops and the deep, leafy background bittering hops are there and in perfect balance. Totally quenching and elegant. But then, I’m a sucker for IPAs... visionthing (5406) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 13, 2015
33cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks a lot! Pours almost clear golden with a white head. Fresh hoppy aroma with notes of tropical fruits, citrus and hints of pale malt, herbs and pine. Medium sweet with nice hoppy notes and a pleasant bitterness. Tasty and refreshing IPA!
