On tap@ Maximus. Old note. As ’Pompoen’ The aroma vegetable/pumpkin, grass, grain. Bit hazy, golden coloured beer with an off-white head. Thetaste is light bitter, light-medium sweet, has grain, grass and some pumpkin. Okay but a bit dull. Svesse (8577) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 31, 2014
(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 20 Aug 2014) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with lemon, bread, bretty yeast and hints of burnt grass (or did that come from the coffee shop nextdoor?). Malty, tart taste with notes of green grapes, white bread, grass, hints of wild yeast and a slightly dry and sour finish. Medium body, quite dry. Interesting, and quite nice. (This was called "Pumpkin Brett", 5.0%, so it might acutually be a separate entry. Let me know if that’s the case.) tricksta_p (4538) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2016 Aroma of grains, spice, some yeast, light pumpkin. Flavour is a bit sweet with some bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite mild for a Pumpkin Beer. androman (2289) - Maarssen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 14, 2014
15cl tap @ Utrechtse Bierbrouwers Festival 2014. Hazy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma soap, sweet vegetables. Taste light sweetness, lightly bitter. Light body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lagerish bitter-sweet finish. Easy to drink, lagerish, not too exciting. Christos (5692) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAY 12, 2014
Tap at 4th Utrechts Brewers Festival.
Light orange colour, hazy on the body. Big head, slighty off-white in colour, with good retention and light lacing left behind.
Aroma is of grains, yeast.
Taste is nutty and grainy, with yeast in it, I can’t say that I taste any pumpkin, but it’s very refreshing.
Medium thin body, soft carbonation, good dryness on the palate.
Quite good but I expected more, surely more pumpkin for one.

In De Wildemand as Pompoen, 5.0%. Poured hazy light golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is lactic, soft malt and lightly sweet citrus. Medium body, flavour is medium sweet, medium bitter. Not really getting much in the way of pumpkin in this. dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - JAN 31, 2014
Tap at De Drie Dorstige Herten. Palate not too pleasant, not the Maximus standard I am accostomed to. caesar (7097) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 2, 2013
Tap @ Maximus, where they just call it Pompoen. Hazy golden color, medium head. Aroma of soft pumpkin, some grassy hop, bit grainy malt. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter. Another nicely balanced, yet not really outspoken brew by Maximus. kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 13, 2013
