From wooden barrel, served in Stein. Pear, yeast, malt, floral aroma. Very balanced taste, light sweetness, with subtle bitterness. Very nice palate and süffig. It reminded me on a Zwickel in some way. It was not filtrated. Light bodied, soft carbonated. Very easy to drink. One of the best Helles I’ve ever had. But probably this beer is different from the bottle.

glennmastrange (2932) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUN 17, 2017
Tap. Light to moderate grain for the malt, light herbs for the hops, light meadow and leaves for the yeast. Head is large, frothy, white, with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear gold. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and faintly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a soft to lively carbonation. Typical yet very nice drinking Helles from a top notch brauerei

aleigator (945) - GERMANY - MAR 4, 2017

Pours a crystal clear golden color wirh a fluffy white head, soon receeding to a thin layer of lacing.

Smells of an intriguing melange of wheat, white bread dough, dried foliage and a hint of caramel.

Has an effervescent carbonation among a very light, borderline thin body.

Tastes of straw, cakey malts the slightest impact of noble hops and a bubbly metallic quality. Fades onwards from midpalate, creating a one dimensional watery maltiness.

Pretty boring an almost too light to pair with food, since only the malt sweetness stands out.

0.5 l bottle from Pivoteka. Retro tasting session by Hrabren’s Choice. Shared with L. S. D.. Clear light golden, medium, creamy off-white head. Strong hay aroma, corn flakes and white bread. Sweet and bready. Soft texture, soft carbonation, medium body, moderate sweet finish. All in all a good lager.
