COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Maxlrainer LEO WEISSE is the appellation distinguishing our classic pale wheat beer. This is the ultimate in fruity wheat beer taste and has continued to qualify for the DLG GOLD Award year in, year out.

LEO WEISSE with its full round taste and own inimitable character reigns supreme in Bavarian wheat beer realms, the real secret behind it lying in the brewerys distinct method of producing top-fermented yeast. Even as the beer is being drawn, the gourmet senses the wonderful aroma it develops. Left to mature in the storage cellars, LEO WEISSE is bottled in its cloudy, unfiltered state, thus keeping the malt and yeast constituents fine and nourishing.

Like SCHLOSS GOLD, the Maxlrain LEO WEISSE, a DLG gold award-winning brew for years on end, is also available in smart 0.33l bottles.

Una buena weisse con sus aromas tipicos banana y citricos a la nariz, al paladar pasa muy bien medio cuerpo y bien carbonatada, muy agradable recomendada

Bottle at Pivoteka. Murky ochre, huge thick white head, lasting. Aroma... Banana, caramel, light apple/glue. Full, light cloves. Nice, soft caramel and banana driven taste. Sweetish yet carbonated enough not to be cloying. Bit empty finish. Not world class but a very good weizen!

Enjoyed: On tap, in weizen. Appearance: Hazy yellow/orange colour, with rich white foam. Aroma: Wheat, corn, banana, cake. Palate: Medium body, low carbonation. Taste: Sweet, taste of cake. Overall impression: Nice, but I had better wheat beer.

0.5 l bottle from Pivoteka. Retro tasting session by Hrabrens Choice. Shared with Vinja. Opaque orange, small off-white head. Orange, dust, light banana, fruity. Sweet, light yeasty sourness. Medium body, medium carbonation, abrupt finish. Not unpleasant.

0.5l bottle. Cloudy pale orange color with white head. Aroma of clove, yeast, soap and banana. Taste is sweet, bitter and little sour. Less sweet than most wheat beer and it makes it kind of different, even though its not really that remarkable beer.

hauxe (670) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 13, 2016
Pours light orange from the bottle and leaves a big, foamy head that subsides but lingers for much of the duration. Aroma is fresh bread, with the banana notes increasingly creeping in as you progress through the glass. Sweet in taste, lots of bread, light banana, no real spice. Faint sourness in an otherwise unremarkable finish. Medium bodied. Lots of fizz. Refreshing. Decent stuff.

glennmastrange (2824) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUN 18, 2016
UPDATED: AUG 2, 2016 Bottle. Moderate aromas of grain, straw and cereal for the malt, light herbs for the hops, moderate dough for the yeast, with lots of banana and a hint of clove. Head is huge, creamy turning rocky, white, with good lacing and is fully lasting. Color is murky yet sparkling yellow. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes slightly acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. For a light German hefeweizen this was pretty damn good.

Una discreta weisse con una buona carbonazione, al naso carente, meglio al palato, ma manca una nota pi forte di banana, pi dolcezza.
