COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlossbrauerei Maxlrain brews the Schloss Weisse according to a traditional recipe; the beer retains a much darker color, in much the same manner as it was brewed centuries ago. Schloss Weisse receives its fresh, distinctive, full-bodied taste through a brewing process using selected roasted malt, fine aromatic hops as well as the pure Maxlrainer water. Brewed according to Bavarian brewery regulations, Schloss Weisse reveals its premium quality in its unique, reclosable bottles.

Bottle. Moderate cereal for the malt, light herbs for the hops, moderate to heavy dough for the yeast, with notes of banana, clove and dark dried fruit in the background. Head is large, frothy, light beige, with excellent lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is a grayish medium brown. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and slightly bitter. Palate is medium, slick, with a lively carbonation. Not a strond Dunkelweizen, but plenty of nice aromas you’d expect from the style.

Bottle. Pours cloudy pale amber colour with light brown head. Yeasty, reisin, floral aroma with touch of citrus notes. Sweet, low bitter taste, low to medium carbonated with notable alcohol taste.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2017 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a weizen glass. Appearance: Hazy red/brownish colour, with medium head. Aroma: (Strong) Banana. Palate: Light body, medium carbonation. Taste: Nothing specific; Slightly sour aftertaste. Overall impression: Nice, but I had better wheat beer.

Murky brown hazy with big light brown head. Aroma is yeasts, bubblegum, clove, some dried fruits, no roast/chocolate I guess. Taste is a little alcoholic/phenolic some medium sweetness and low bitterness sourness. More alcohol in the finish. Medium body, some mildly uncanny foamy mouthfeel. If I would have had to guess it would have called it a below average Weizenbock. Still OK.

Cloudy pale orange liquid with off white soft head. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of yeast. Nice.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2016 Bottiglia da 500cl, Munchen. Bel colore marrone scuro, torbido.

Pours a dark brown looking color with thick and creamy white head. Wonderful, very hazy appearance. Lovely sweet smell typical of wheat beers. Really good first impressions on this one. So far, this is the best Maxlrainer. If someone knows how to make a wheat beer then it’s Germans. Full body with a thick and creamy texture. Somewhat high carbonation for the style.Very rich taste - bread, herbs, spices... Wonderful combination. Beautifully balanced beer well worth a try. Overall - loved it! Great example of the style. Recommended!

Dunkel hefiger, mild herber Beginn.

Ganska platt.Nej, inget vidare.
