COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlossbrauerei Maxlrain brews the Schloss Weisse according to a traditional recipe; the beer retains a much darker color, in much the same manner as it was brewed centuries ago. Schloss Weisse receives its fresh, distinctive, full-bodied taste through a brewing process using selected roasted malt, fine aromatic hops as well as the pure Maxlrainer water. Brewed according to Bavarian brewery regulations, Schloss Weisse reveals its premium quality in its unique, reclosable bottles.

Pours a dark brown looking color with thick and creamy white head. Wonderful, very hazy appearance. Lovely sweet smell typical of wheat beers. Really good first impressions on this one. So far, this is the best Maxlrainer. If someone knows how to make a wheat beer then it’s Germans. Full body with a thick and creamy texture. Somewhat high carbonation for the style.Very rich taste - bread, herbs, spices... Wonderful combination. Beautifully balanced beer well worth a try. Overall - loved it! Great example of the style. Recommended!

Cloudy amber/orange/brown color, huge off-white head. Lovely banana. Full bodied, thick, soft carbonation, medium to heavy sweetness, banana finish. Surprisingly great for a dunkelweizen! //pivoteka

Bottle. Moderate cereal for the malt, light herbs for the hops, moderate to heavy dough for the yeast, with notes of banana, clove and dark dried fruit in the background. Head is large, frothy, light beige, with excellent lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is a grayish medium brown. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and slightly bitter. Palate is medium, slick, with a lively carbonation. Not a strond Dunkelweizen, but plenty of nice aromas you’d expect from the style.

Bottle, pours a cloudy orangey-brown with a big but fast-settling head, banana and a touch of lemon and spice on the nose. Good solid body, crisp and slightly lemony initially, then bready and drying, and finally banana and spice. Really nice weisse.

Swing-top by 05.04.12/0057. Wheat nose leans toward phenols and minerals. Re-orange gradient with a creamy beige head. Taste is lightly sweet and nice and fruity, wheat and a nice yeast contribution reveal themselves toward the end, apple and berry linger into the finish. Soft medium body. Without a doubt, one of my favorite DWs, and probably because it is so unlike a normal DW.
