COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chocolate/raspberry nose invites you in for a taste of this nicely dry stout with a delicate raspberry backdrop. The strong hints of raspberry play nicely on the palate with the chocolate and roasted notes of this full bodied beer.

On draught at their brewpub. Chocolate and raspberry are fairly strong in this, but not to the point of being too much. Good dessert beer.

Draft @ the Brewpub. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty and slightly sweetish raspberry aroma. Sweetish roasted malty raspberry flavor with some weak hints of licorice. Has a sweetish roasted malty raspberry finish.

Black-bodied with brown underpinning and adorned with a light head. Raspberry nose is appealing, but the body is too smooth and the acidic raspberry flavor is not balanced by enough roast character.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours brownish-black with a thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and raspberries. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, chocolate and raspberry. The finish is roasty with a tart fruit aftertaste. Above average overall.
