A smooth rich dark ale combining Northdown and Celeia hops with Fuggles added late to enrich the flavour. Wassail or ’Be-well’ comes from the tradition of passing on warm wishes and sharing good ale.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small head. Acidic and slightly malty with little body. Not very impressive.

Mahogany/deep amber. Chestnut head. Fruit malt aroma. Sweet flavour. Notes of apple cider? Sour beer. Weird.

from a bottle. Probably the best of the mayhil breweryeers I had so far. Murky reddish brown with a rapidly dappearing off white head. Tastes fruiy and slighty bitter. Has an aroma of fruit ake and smells oaked.
