COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most pale ales out there in the world would never attempt to swindle you out of your recent pay check, or even your precious jade cat statue your great aunt Lucille left you in her will, but Velvet Hustle isn’t your everyday pale ale. Using a subtle combination of Victory and Honey malts for a smooth greeting followed by a sly, sharp stab to the palate of robust American hops, Velvet Hustle will easily work its way into your home and then steal your heart. And your watch.

Amber/copper pour, tan head. Aroma of malta and wheat. Whatever flavor there is, is overpowered with hops that fade quickly to malt at the finish.

jnkor (364) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 15, 2015
Aroma is light and sweet. Appearance is a nice orange amber with small white head. Taste is sweet and lightly hoppy with just enough zest. Still light. Rests well.

Itzjerm (3074) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - JAN 31, 2015
A bit of bitterness and light hop on the tongue. No aroma which is sad. Good appearance and mouthfeel but everything else is subpar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[Tap] Light amber colored pour with a fizzy white head. Aromas of toasted breads, citrus hops and pine. Notes of orange, lemon, biscuits and grass in the flavor. Moderately bitter. Slick texture. Decent.

Tap- ML rose west; New penny hue to it. Nice lacing. You get hop presence in the nose but a nice balance in the taste. Nice pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Orangey copper, nice white head. Smells grainy, toasty, with some citrus, too. It’s hoppier than I was expecting - nice notes of citrus and fresh mown grass. A bit of caramel emerges as it warms. Pretty tasty! Sampled at 2013 ENBF.

mikedevilsfan (226) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Slightly sweet orange smell. Malty, slightly bisquety taste, light hops with a bitter orange peel finish. Pretty decent Pale ale.

beerproject (129) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 11, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2013 Aroma is pretty American hoppy, cascade like. Taste is a touch English with some biscuit notes, healthy bitterness and hop flavor. Finish is a little lingering.

3.6
IndyBeerSnob (132) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 3, 2013
A well rounded pale ale that doesn’t shy away from the malty presence. Low hop character at finish. A touch of sweetness distinguishes this pale ale nicely.

2.8
edgallow (4369) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Draft sampler pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, pine and bread. Taste is malts and a nice bitterness.
