Draft at Get Real NY Cask Ale Event with Linh, Streets, Andrew, and Brendan. Had one on one with Baby Streets - a decent IPA from a brewery I’ve never encountered previously. Got to try two versions of this - dry-hopped with citra and one with amarillo. AndyAvalanche (32) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 3, 2011
In a traditional pint glass, had a nice look to it but not much of a head to it at all. What was there was white that didn’t really stick around too long. Despite that, it actually had some very nice lacing that lasted through the entire session. It was a nice amber color with almost perfect clarity. It smelled very good, had some nice citrus/floral notes to it, you can tell at this point it’s already going to be a nice hoppy beer. The tast matches up with the smell. Nice and hoppy. Very citrusy as well, kinda grapefruity, but not overlesming, really excellent taste to it, burps up nice, good aftertaste. Mouthfeel was very good too, not much of a carbination bite. Very drinkable, very refreshing. This is a really good IPA. yespr (45447) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - FEB 28, 2011
From tap at Sunset Grill. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, citrusy and crisp hoppy. Bitter, solid fruity and crisp citrusy. Ends bonedry and bitter. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 1, 2011
(12oz bottle). Pours copper with off-white head that quickly disappears. Nice carbonation. Aroma has some dank hops, but also some bright grapefruit and mango. Taste is semi-sweet and bitterness. Nicely balanced. Thin bodied with slick/oily texture. Finish is pleasantly bitter, but the malts are still there. Nice IPA. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2011
12oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, tropical fruit, pineapple, tangerine, and a hint of diacetyl. Poured amber in color with a small, rocky, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Very sparkling. Flavor light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of hops, tropical fruit, tangerine, slight crystal malt, and citrus. Medium body. Thinish texture. Average carbonation. Hop, malt, tangerine, and citrus finish. 7%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

On tap. Very tasty. Aromas of caramel and grass. Taste is bitter, with good length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a thin head. jgb9348 (6252) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - DEC 25, 2010
Hazy orange coloured body with a gold glow and a nice dense deep tan head and a trillion bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of candy sugar, yeast, wheat, fresh herbal hops, a touch of grass and some mild hay. Light to Medium-bodied; Some undeveloped hops and yeast flavour start out strong with a good malt backbone and a touch of grassy and herbal flavours throughout. Aftertaste shows a bit of hop bitterness, some grass and hay tastes and a bit of a mild finish, with some lingering bitterness. Overall, a decent IPA - not horrible, nor great. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Colonial Spirits in Acton, Massachussets on 23-September-2010, sampled in New Paltz, New York on 25-December-2010, Christmas Day! beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - DEC 15, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazed golden amber, more gold than amber, with a moderate off-white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left a layer of foam with each sip. Pleasant aroma of pine and caramel along with some citrus notes. The flavor begins with a solid dose of malt and caramel followed by some fairly resinous pine. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. Overall, I found this to be a very solid and enjoyable IPA. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - NOV 5, 2010
12oz bottle, no date from Julio’s on 10/29/2010. Dammit, it looks like there is a bottled on date, and it is 07/21/10--yay, an over three month old IPA. Aroma of some sweaty Cascade hops up front with some woody pine notes following, light caramel at the back end. Actually is holding up well for the age--so far. Flavor shows this, and the hops turn a little stale, but are still fairly herbal, moderate sweet caramel malt, pekoe tea, and light toast. Finishes dry, bitterness peaked at a 4. Alcohol masked well. Light to moderate carbonation with a medium body. Actually not too bad--wonder how a fresher sample would be. . . thicksuds (449) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 28, 2010
I think this is a solid IPA, nicely balanced with a strong hop presence, great summer drinking IPA, worth a try for sure. Not in the top tier but in a close second to many of the great ones.
