In short: A citrusy and resinous IPA. Straightforward but nonetheless a solid tasty example of the style.hopscotch (11451) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 16, 2010
How: Bottle 12oz. Consumed fresh a few days after purchase
The look: Partly cloudy golden orange body topped by a medium of-white head with good retention
In long: Nose is intensely citrusy. Taste has a bit of caramel but it mostly feels like a big thick condensed citrus fruit affair. Overall the body feels rather nourishing. Some pine-tree notes. The hop profile is also quite resinous. The bitterness is strong sticky. Creamy mouthfeel with a lively carbonation. This is a nice IPA, a bit underrated imho. A well balanced beer. The concept of beer itself is overall well balanced. It is the cause of many problems and the solution to as many.
Bottle… Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The nose offers cookie, brown sugar and black tea. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor suggests black tea with a light squeeze of lemon. Lengthy, bitter, dry finish. Thanks to growler for sharing the bottle! coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - SEP 4, 2010
Bottle. Pours orangey copper with a medium off white head. Aroma and flavor of piney hops, a bit of citrus, some caramel and pale malts. Bit of sweetness in the flavor. Finishes bitter and dry. Medium palate, slightly oily. Nice IPA. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 28, 2010
Caramel, iced tea, and light floral hops. A touch fruity as well. Pours copper with decent head retention. The flavor is mostly caramel and iced tea with light fruity citrus hops and floral notes in the finish. Flavor is rather subdued, body is smooth, drinks easily, just not what I enjoy in the flavor department for IPA. danfosha (52) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Aroma of bread, caramel, some floral notes and grass. Pours amber, hazy, a white head. Medium sweetness, heavy bitterness. Medium bodied, fizzy, bitter finish. Lots of hops on this one, really bitter.

On tap at a crab shack in Plymouth, nose had very little hops, taste lacked hop flavor. Had a slight taste of dirty line. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - AUG 16, 2010

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate oranges, orange peel, and caramel. It pours a transparent amber with a small soapy off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The flavor starts with lots of orange and caramel. The finish is kind of fruity with some light-moderste grapefruit. Medium bodies with mild carbonation.
On tap at a taps place in Hyannis (Cape Cod) Ma. Pouered a light orange color with good lacing. Aroma is pine and grainy malt. Has an odd aroma in the background that I couldn’t place. Flavor is bitter hops with malt balancing in the end. Decent brew. SuIIy (1984) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - AUG 7, 2010
12oz bottle pours a reddish/orange/copper color with a small white foamy head that recedes to a small ring leaving sporadic lacing. Nose is hop leafs, sticky, resiny hop notes with a sweet honey biscuit malt note. Palate is smooth and crisp with a sticky, resiny finish. Flavor is thick biscuity honey malt notes with a light stingy hop resiny bite in the finish. BiddleBrau (1238) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 6, 2010
pours amber/golden with thinning white head. Citrus, pine aroma with a hint of malt as well. Hop bitterness hits right up front with hop flavor lingering. Palate is a bit flat and flavor dissipates quickly after initial punch. Not too bad but I would like to see a bit more malt profile here.
