Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a pale burnt orange/copper color with a fingers worth of white foamy head that slid off at a good pace. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma had some toast, biscuits, light toffee/caramel malts, dried citrusy tones, some herbal character and ended with a little bit of floral hop quality.
The flavor was moderately sweet drawing upon the malts to stiffen the bitterness and almost make me want to say bland but given the style, Ill refrain and say the aftertaste was as expected with a smooth malty contour that followed into the finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied, sitting just a touch under and creating a fantastic sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Pretty smooth along my tongue.
Overall, as an English pale ale brewed by an American brewer, its hard to knock, my numbers are based on that. And, theres no diacetyl, thats a plus! Bebum (1012) - Massachusetts, USA - JUN 6, 2015
Cloudy, orange color, explodes with a stiff foam as you open the bottle- be ready!
Medium body, moderate and simple flavor, good length but weak finish.
Low to moderate bitterness, sweetness and acidity, all in good balance.

Bottle from Harvest Market.
Deep golden color, caramel and toffee aromas with a hint of earthy earthy hop. Rich toffee maltiness with some earthy mineral to balance. Clean simple easy to drink pale. Travlr (25268) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Bottle. Very pale clear yellow color, white head that settles quickly. Aroma is a bit soapy. Taste is odd. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - MAY 8, 2014
Pours a medium golden color with good clarity and a finger of eggshell foam. Nose is grainy, oatmeal, toast and a hint of citrus. Palate follows with a heavy graininess, stale grass profile and a spicy almost rye like bitterness that comes through midpalate and lingers in the finish. Uneventful.

Some caramel frosted crackers and hay, not a lot of fruit. Clear orange, moderate carbonation, or so it appears. Sweet malty flavor with some mineral presence. Some bitterness, maybe 20 BUs. Undermined by it’s softness, the plush body gives it a watery feel. On the other hand this makes it very drinkable with an okay flavor. jtclockwork (16701) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 19, 2014
Bottle. Pours clear orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of toasted grain, caramel, old citrus peel and hay. Medium body. blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 27, 2014
Bottle poured an orange amber color with a one finger white head that retained very well. Aroma has mild pale malts, light hops, and some dusty citrus. Mouth feel is average for the style and there is plenty of carbonation. Flavor is mostly malts with a touch of bitterness and dusty aged hops. viddi (2) - ICELAND - SEP 19, 2013 does not count
A bit too watery and bland. Nothing sticks out. The color is on the dark side for a pale ale. Slimwit (2) - New Hampshire, USA - AUG 5, 2013 does not count
Poured bottle with nice white head. Decent malt aroma but darker than expected color. Taste was thin, with no discernable impact. Beer finished bitterly without giving a sense of hops. Disappointing.
