Mazama Brewery, draft: Tasted sweet...to sweet. I thought the color and texture were good, especially for a Belgian. Good beer...the Belgian flavors are not overpowering, even in this dubbel. I would drink it again. But it certainly a sipping beer.
Tap at BCS. Copper color with no head. Light plum, rum raisin cake and prune on the nose with some konbu and sweet overripe fruit. Body is thin and watery with cinnamon coming out as it warms. Weird metallic flavor as well. Overly sweet and messy. Finish is sweet but clipped. Needs serious work and may actually do a disservice to Belgian dubbels. Tap at Dig. Rather pretty maroon-orange-brown color, clear, with lace. Tinny nose, raisins, iron, caramel. Very metallic flavor, almost like blood! Light fruit, wood, caramel, raisins. Thin body. Nothing like a proper dubbel. A disappointing, typically wrong US-made dubbel. Salmoniform (1281) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Poured from tap to glass. Copper hue with creamy off white head. Aroma is bready, banana, slight esters, cereal. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout. Overall this is a nice brew. stevoj (5869) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Not enougj the deep dried fruitiness or floral notes usually expected with the style. Lots of malt, some yeast, short finish pdx76 (651) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 9, 2013
On draught at mazama - pours clear copper - nose of cherry, syrup, and mt. Taste of cherry, malt, and small amount of hop. Not bad.

On draught at Mazama Brewing. Dark brown amber color. Aroma is light yeast, bubblegum, and pitted fruit. Taste is sweet roasted malt, yeast, prune, and other fruit. Nice deep body and sweet fruit finish. ericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JUN 8, 2013
Pours a medium dark brown, slight off-tan head. Raisins and dark fruit in aroma, perhaps a little less sweet than I generally like my dubbels. Body medium, syrupy, finish retains dried fruit but also a strange bitterness.
