3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 Mazama Brewery, Draft: This was a good beer, one of my favorites of the night. Very strong, and has hints of Christmas tree...earthy taste. Does not taste or feel like a 10% alcohol beer.
*update.... this beer is starting to grow on me. It has gone from good to fantastic. This is my third stop at Mazama, and the brewer has tweeked this recipe to become just a really good pint. I’m impressed.
Tap at BCS. Hazy, glowing gold with no head. Pear and apple notes with some honey in the nose. Medium body with soft carbonation. Boozy on the palate with the fruit standing strong. Finish is fruity and boozy. Not bad though, still not enough carbonation or complexity for a trippel or grand cru. Nice effort though. bpreo (2840) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - NOV 14, 2015
10% alcohol. You had me at alcohol. Sampled at the 4th annual McKenzie Cider and Craft Beer Festival, November 13th, 2015. gnoff (10422) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUL 5, 2015

Cloudy to murky brown color, light brown head. Sweet, malty, light toasted taste. Toasted, crackers aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Very light vinegar, malty scent.
On tap at PIB 2015, pours a cloudy golden orangey yellow with a large white head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast, banana and clove - doesn’t smell like a quad to me. Flavour is quite fruity and yeasty, with Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and stone fruits. Well-balanced, but a little sweet with the residual sugars. Good. On Tap at the River Room, Whole Foods Boise slighty hazy orange amber. B elgian yeast aroma and flavros ut pretty think and sweet. Big lig a Quad but lighter colored and more of a caramel flavor that typical for the style.

Hazy apricot color with thin white head. Aroma slightly sulfurous with some apple. Taste is like a darker tripel. $5/12oz Salmoniform (1272) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Poured from tap to glass. Straw hue with creamy white head that settled. Aroma is wheat, orange, spicy, straw. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is sweet with a slight acidic following. Overall this is a nice brew. stevoj (5046) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 11, 2014
On tap at PreFunk. Hazy golden in color with small, silky head. Earthy, grassy aroma, more malty in the taste. Slick, but thick body, some alcohol warmth on the finish. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Nice goblet at PreFunk tonight. Lightly hazy golden, good enough white head.. More phenolic than estery... not very balanced... A bit too much sweetness magnifies the light fruity esters... Seems a bit thick IMO.... Surprising bitterness rises with warmth... I like the hops as it helps cut through the residual maltiness. Okay... I would buy it again. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - NOV 9, 2013
On draught at Mazama Brewing. Cloudy golden color. Spicy sweet caramel and candy aroma. Taste is a mix of the sweet, yeasty nature of tripel and the spiced character of a wit. Alcohol is hidden very well. Sweet spiced finish.
