I bought this bottle from Amstein and I drank it two days ago at home. In my point of view, it is a delicious Belgian brown ale. It is better to drink it not so cold. The taste is sweet and bitter. There is malt, candy sugar, honey, hop and the taste is really well balanced, good beer for the winter days!!!!!

Bouteille de 750 ml. Couleur ambrée avec un grand col. Arôme de malt, de céréales grillées avec un très léger arôme de fruits. Le goût est celui des grains, du caramel et des fruits-fleurs. Bonne à boire en dégustation.

8%ABV. Belgian strong ale. Poured out brown. 28ºSRM. Nose has belgian ale aroma: wood, dust, yeast, stewed fruit. Mouthfeel is carbonated, beery. Palate has pleasant caramel, burnt sugar. Some mild fruity, grain sour in the palate; fleeting. Hops are noble and finish off with a bitter sweet, woody aftertaste. Finish is a little ponderous and Belgian with a wood, sweet and incense.

This is an excellently aged and refermented dark beer from Chouffe. The bitterness coming through gently. Perhaps it could have been a bit more hoppy.

From 330ml bottle in France. Poured with a modest loose foamy head with almost no retention. Colour was a murky deep brown. Aroma is sweet like a Belgian blonde. Beer drinks with a slug of carbonation and muted flavour. I sipped and sipped to try to think differently on the taste/ palate but it wasn’t to be; this beer is just quite gassy but not that tasty.

330 ml bottle, Bucharest, at Bistro GUXT. Nice hazy dark amber color, off-white head, pretty good retention, some lacing. Caramel and dark fruit aroma, with some acid notes, dark bread, some chocolate, rum and spices and also some roastiness. The taste is round, dark fruits and caramel, molasse, spices and a fine bitterness balancing the malty sweetness. Dryer aftertaste, with hints of fruits, fermented raisins, alcohol. Excellent beer, very good as a digestif or paired with chocolate & fruits desserts
