Mc CHOUFFE is an unfiltered brown beer which is refermented both in the bottle and in barrels. Its fruity bouquet conceals a hint of bitterness.

On tap at Cheeky Monk. Pour is golden straw; perfectly clear with a small white head and great lacing. Clove, light banana, fruity esters, biscuit, straw, light corn, and grass in the aroma. Taste is biscuit and bread, with light fruity notes through the middle, ending somewhat sweet and spicy. Light body with high carbonation. Pretty good Belgian, but I was expecting a more pronounced flavor profile, still highly drinkable for such high ABV.

Umfangreiches Aromenportfolio. Kaffee, Pfeffer, Belgische Kräuterhefe und der unvermeidliche Karamelbonbon sind nur einige Duftspender, alle zu nennen würde zur einer Time Out Strafe seitens Ratebeer führen 😉. Optisch richtig schön BRUNE 🎆. Der Trunk dann hefig im Mouthfeel, säuerlich seifig spritzig im Hauptteil und nach hinten raus gleitend alkoholisch malzsweet. RUND !!! Definitv !!! Der Belgian Spice Charme ist selbstverständlich allgegenwärtig 😎. A Good One !!! 0,33l Flasche aus dem mystischen Belgien. Low Price Supermarket Stuff ...😀.

Hazy bronze in the light, dark brown otherwise. Orange, chocolate and banana aroma. Very bubbily, still cold but a bit mild flavor of sticky caramelized malt. Easy drinking, sweet finish.

11.2oz bottle (4-pack). Pours a hazy dark brown with tan head and enduring lacing. Aroma of dusty fruit, cat litter, yeasty caramel and hops. Strong taste of caramel, old fruit, some sweetness, some bitterness, Finishes slightly sour with more hops. Great balance of flavors, good with roasted or barbecued foods.

I bought this bottle from Amstein and I drank it two days ago at home. In my point of view, it is a delicious Belgian brown ale. It is better to drink it not so cold. The taste is sweet and bitter. There is malt, candy sugar, honey, hop and the taste is really well balanced, good beer for the winter days!!!!!

Bouteille de 750 ml. Couleur ambrée avec un grand col. Arôme de malt, de céréales grillées avec un très léger arôme de fruits. Le goût est celui des grains, du caramel et des fruits-fleurs. Bonne à boire en dégustation.

8%ABV. Belgian strong ale. Poured out brown. 28ºSRM. Nose has belgian ale aroma: wood, dust, yeast, stewed fruit. Mouthfeel is carbonated, beery. Palate has pleasant caramel, burnt sugar. Some mild fruity, grain sour in the palate; fleeting. Hops are noble and finish off with a bitter sweet, woody aftertaste. Finish is a little ponderous and Belgian with a wood, sweet and incense.

This is an excellently aged and refermented dark beer from Chouffe. The bitterness coming through gently. Perhaps it could have been a bit more hoppy.

From 330ml bottle in France. Poured with a modest loose foamy head with almost no retention. Colour was a murky deep brown. Aroma is sweet like a Belgian blonde. Beer drinks with a slug of carbonation and muted flavour. I sipped and sipped to try to think differently on the taste/ palate but it wasn’t to be; this beer is just quite gassy but not that tasty.
