3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice light brown pour with a huge head to it. Aroma of toffee, raisins, and clove. A complex balance hits your mouth with estery flavors, malt, and hops balancing out well. Slightly alcoholic on the tongue and kind of a powerful one to drink by yourself.
Caramel, caramel, caramel... Juice of caramel. Quality, but don’t like it very much. ajruiz (2) - - JUL 24, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: JUL 24, 2017 Its a plain flavor where the alcohol can be inmediately detectes. But, the flavor is strong and refrescante. balloonbuffoon (392) - - JUL 23, 2017
11.2floz bottle, BBD: 06.2017, bought discounted for $1 about seven months ago. Poured into a tulip glass with a two finger head that leaves specks behind as the brown colored body lowers upon consumption. Rich, malt and yeast driven ale composed of caramel and banana peelish aromas. Taste has a bit of biscuity bite to go along with traits noted in the aroma, along with plum. The end result is a very satisfying sparingly full-bodied ale. Steffan (93) - WALES - JUL 13, 2017
Pours a nice yeasty brown head, dark amber body, light ethanol bitterness in the mouth. Thin for a dubbel, not the richness of others and flavour ends with an acidic bitterness. I’m sure it’s well made but not to my tastes, I found it unpleasant. remALUS (381) - Kaunas, LITHUANIA - JUL 10, 2017

Normal BSA fare, caramel, raisins, candy, dough... Unfortunately a bit on the diabetic side, starting to enjoy that less... what are you hiding? Good carbo and pretty dark amber hue colui72 (1058) - HONG KONG - JUN 9, 2017
Pours brown, fizzy, with a medium tan head, some spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel, herbs, dough. Tastes is on the sweet malts side, with caramel, candy and some dark fruits. Full body, creamy, lively carbonation and a bit astringent. Long caramel after taste. Regular dark Belgian, not overly sweet and boozy, tasty. NiklasT (49) - SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2017
Dark red, brown. Aroma caramel, slightly yeasty. High carbonation. Some sweetness and a soft maltiness. Well balanced. Very nice amber/double for someone who typically prefers a triple. One of the best dark beers there is, if you ask me.
