This is one of those beers that you’d be a bit disappointed to miss out on the last bottle of, but possibly not one that would be your first choice. So a C- level beer that "could try harder" it does what it says on the label, there isn’t a pretence in the description that you agree with because you don’t get it, but because it is what i is.
From a bottle. Pours copper, thin head, slight spicy finish with big resinous fruity flavours. Good stuff. waiake (606) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 25, 2014

Bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has citrus, some caramel maltiness. Clear, copper coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is a bit sweet with a ligh-moderate bitter finish. It has some caramel, citrus. BDD89 (12) - young, AUSTRALIA - MAR 2, 2014
Slightly hoppy aroma. Dark amber colour. Malty biscuity, flavour. Not much head to speak of. Enjoyable aftertaste. A great pale ale that could make a good session beer. Really enjoyable!!!! StuffWine (167) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 24, 2014
An underrated brew from my experience. Poured a sparkling red-pink with good dense creamy off-white head that lasted the duration. Pleasant citrus aroma of grapefruit with peach. Flavour actually is close to the bottle’s description; caramel malts blending to marmalade-like bitter citrus rind. Lively carbonated on palate and light-medium bodied with good length to the finish. Loved the brew. Refreshing, flavoursome, could drink them all afternoon. And love the large bottle (though prefer not to share). anders37 (26625) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 2, 2014
Bottle @ yespr. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy finish. Bathory (458) - Kverneland, NORWAY - JAN 15, 2014
Pours a nice deep and cloudy copper colour with a small, but quality-like white head. Some dry wood, oak and spruce and a hint of caramel on the nose. Flavour is also som wood, together with biscuits and some carrot acctually. Nice bitterness in the finish, not too much. The mouthfeel is soft, and about medium carbonation. Well balanced beer, I really liked, the taste and the balance being the most intruiging side of it.
