We hope you enjoy this Stoke Amber. We make it the old fashioned way and never cut corners. It’s brewed using Nelson’s famous organic hops, premium malt, our own bespoke yeast an 14,000 year old Paleo Water (no artificial additives or colouring). Stoke is tank conditioned over three weeks - that’s where the hint of honey and smooth mouth feel come from. Next time you’re in Nelson, come and meet the team here at our family brewery!

Skarecrow (1136) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 5, 2016
330ml bottle with B 15/10/2016 Hazy amber color with little head. Aroma was quite grainy with tell tale oxidation. Mild bitterness and slight malt character. Otherwise uneventful - perhaps a fresher bottle would have helped.

bulldogops (2885) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 7, 2016
Rating #1777 - 2015.06.26. Bottleshare. Clear amber colour with a bubbly white head. Trie Aroma is caramel and hint of citrus. Taste is mild malty sweetness and a little earthy hoppy note, drying out the finish.

DuffMan (10983) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 10, 2016
Bottle. Golden amber hue, average white head. Watery caramel, apples, plastic. Drain pour.

TedE (1589) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 16, 2016
330ml bottle into pint glass. Subdued sweet malt nose. Copper coloured with sudsy white head. Many tiny bubbles. Full body, smooth and bitter in the mouth. The bitterness carries through to the finish. Late malt balances everything beautifully. Nice beer.

canadiankiwi (149) - NEW ZEALAND - MAR 1, 2016
Acceptable for a cab off the rank Amber but nothing to write home about when compared with the likes of Sassy Red.

blipp (10183) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 31, 2016
Draft. Pours orange with an off white head. Mild sweet malts, some light fruity citrus, mild bitterness, and a relatively clean finish. Pretty good.

ANZUShophunter (759) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - SEP 26, 2015
From bottle in shaker. Pours amber (no surprise) with aroma of toffee/caramel that carries through to the taste. Finish is smokey and spicy, unique amongst the ambers I’ve tried.

exeter (540) - calgary, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 9, 2015
Pours a dark amber colour with a micro-head and very little lacing. The major flavour is toasted malt with dark fruit and maybe some pine resin in the aftertaste. No, but really what is Paleo water other than a catch phrase?

gramity (1711) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 11, 2015
Amber with modest head, gone in 10 sec. Sweet malt, honey, chocolate hint in the nose, taste sweet malt, toffee, bit woody/earthy.

Ferris (17909) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 25, 2015
Bottle - Sweet caramel and some twig. Clear orange with a decent beige head. Twig, bitter and a herbal caramel sweetness.
