500ml can (no best before date). Generous head. More dark amber than red really. A handsome beer nonetheless. Some vague gluey notes in the aroma. Otherwise rather malty, as expected, with a hint of dry bitterness. Bland, but not as bad as I expected, especially as it had been sitting around for at least a year. Says brewed under license from Murphys on the can so I guess it is probably higher ABV brew for the Italian market - just the sort of thing that seems to be popular in Italy - based on the Murphys Irish Red (which is actually produced in the Netherlands these days). And most, if not all, of the Murphys Irish Stout is actually contracted out to Inbev at their plant in Wales. I’m rambling. I’ll stop now.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2017 Birra dal colore ambrato. Schiuma compatta ma non troppo persistente. All?olfatto sentori di malto tostato e miele. Al palato corpo medio con note di caramello, malto tostato e frutta secca. Nel finale lievemente amara. Birra non troppo complessa, non mi è piaciuta. MasDen (399) - Mogilev, BELARUS - AUG 9, 2017
Small aroma of caramel and hops. Amber red color without head. Caramel, toasty in taste. Bitter finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - JUL 4, 2002
Well, the color isn’t really red, but has amber and orange hues instead. A slightly sweet, fruity nose – pleasant. The taste is malty, with distinct cherry tones*. There is also a cracker-like flavor. Pretty clean palette and a round mouth feel. Quick profile. Overall decent but not very sophisticated.
