On tap at Devon Brewpub. Copper pour with white head. Carmel, tangerine, floral, lemon, pepper, cloves. Moderately bitter and sweet. A little bit salty. Medium, crisp body.
Color- brownish orange with khaki foam. Nose- slight musty funk with malts. Flavor- slightly fruity with semi-sweet maltiness, a bit tart. Tingly mouth feel. Sadly though, not that impressed. egajdzis (6502) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 6, 2013
[2010 bottle] hazy brown amber color with a large, off white head that leftnicelacing lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweeter caramel malts, light cardboard, hay, rustic, light alcohol. Taste of caramel, wood, earthy yeast, faint alcohol, and prickly carbonation. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAY 17, 2011

Sampled on draft.
Mostly clear amber-brown pour with a small off-white head sitting atop the beer.
The aroma lacks the funk I associate with McKenzie beers (as it should, being a non-wild beer as far as I know). Caramel malts, spice, and slight Belgian yeast present.
The flavor is nice. Caramel, nuts, spice, and earth, mildly sweet with a considerable Belgian yeast presence.
Medium-bodied with average carbonation and a slight dryness on the palate.
Tasty beer overall, good for the style. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 23, 2010
