Growler (sitting in Josh’s fridge from early 2012). Poured an amber color with a very thin head. Vinous, acidic, woody, and fruity. I would say a bit thin, but overall from a 2012 growler, it help up decently. Huhzubendah (3709) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Growler shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael.
The beer is orange and mildly hazy, with a half inch of soapy, off white head that leaves ample lacing on the tumbler. The aroma brings green apples, yeast, white wine, green grapes. The flavor brings a nice sour character, with prominent tart apple. A delicate fruity sweetness balances the tart and sour aspects. Smooth on the palate with moderately low carbonation. Overall, a really nice brew. Both the aroma and taste fall just short of a 4.5 score for me. I would definitely have this again.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 Medium amber-brown body. Solid off-white head. Patchy lacing. Vinous notes, raisins, booze, caramel, orange, apples and must. Flavor contains similar components. Slightly cloying, a bit too much booze, appropriate carbonation. Not good enough to command future tastings. blutt59 (6565) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 13, 2012

Pours a moderate amber color with a good white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose brings a bit of wine and brandy plus some light spice and fruits. The flavor has more of the same, though there’s an oakiness that’s a bit too pungent, leading to some tannins in the mouthfeel. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Pretty good, but heavy on the oak.

(12oz hand bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a clear amber body with a spare white head. Aroma of herbs, caramel, brandy, wet leather, and light barnyard. Flavor of raspberry, brett, vanilla, yeast, subtle brandy, and grass with a somewhat dry finish. travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2012
Clear, thin off white head, copper colored. The smell is tart, fruit, wheat, and ok. The taste is acidic, tart, and fruit. jkwalking05 (4743) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2012
Deep golden with no head. Aroma is of funk, dishwasher soap, and light citrus. Taste is tart, light nail polish remover. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 23, 2012
Pours an almost copper color with a small white head. Has a strangely rubbery smell to the beer (not very pleasant). Funky with some wood notes and perhaps a bit of brandy. Not really sour at all. A little bit of fruitiness. The flavor is lacking the rubber note, but it is still lacking the sourness. Some bready malt, oak, and a bit of grass and straw. Really a weird beer. dagimp (1008) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 19, 2012
Very generous taste from the Devon McKenzie brewpub. Pours light straw color with little lacing and about as much head. Smells just plain sour. Mouthfeel is light and tangy. Taste is of liquid sweet tarts. Fruity and really tart. Plenty of candi sugar, apples, funk, banana and slight alcohol flavor. This was really an excellent sour. I wish they had bottles to purchase at Devon. I was told McKenzie would brew it again and I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyy hope they do!
