Pours a slightly cloudy, dark golden copper color with dark amber edges and a half finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thin, lasting ring. Sporadic spotty lacing.
Bland aroma with subtle spice and earthy hops. Dominated by sweet malt with hints of rye, caramel, toffee and dark fruit.
Medium bodies with a surprising hop forward flavor profile followed by a sweet malt backbone. Crisp, spicy hop bite lingering over caramel malt sweetness, spicy rye, toffee, bread and dark fruit notes. Easy to drink with a subtle hop component countering the strong malt presence. Draught at Devon BrewPub: Aroma of malt and a hint of caramel. Poured copper/dark orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white/tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, light cocoa, and grain. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, slight caramel, grain finish. kramer (6991) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2010
On tap, at brewery. Pours a clear amber body with a minimal fizzy white head. The nose is dry toasty malt with a touch of ale fruitiness. Dry and malt driven flavor with some light ale yeastiness. Finishes with some toasty and slightly husky malt. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation, a little coarse in texture. Yer average Irish Red I would say.

From growler. Light hop aroma, some dusty grain and a bit tart. Little bit of sweetness, caramel. Not my favorite aroma. Medium copper amber clear with off-white lacing foamy head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with some caramel roasted malt, light hop bitterness, and mild neutral fruit. Decent dry irish ale with light nutty finish and after.
