Bottle… C&P’sLYFO Throwdown… Murky, caramel-colored ale with a small, white head. The aroma is a bit odd… minty, herbal and fruity... along with the expected caramel and toffee notes. Medium to full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and almost no carbonation. Nice, sweet, caramel flavor. Lengthy, lightly sweet, malty finish. Bottle provided by Dickinsonbeer!

Bottle from the Otown throwdown. Copper pour. Not a favorite of the day for me. Not all bad either. Some dark fruits, caramel and some kind of wet wood or paper. Odd. Flavor is a bit metallic and weird. Some fruit was evident and malt, but they got lost in the odd flavors. Not so good.

Bottle from Glen Mills. Deep coppery toward brown with off-tan head and sediment. Nose is earthy malt, brown sugar, figgy fruit. Tastes smooth, rich, no alcohol detected, with a lof of dark fruit,, brown sugar, earthy malt, and cobwebby peaty esters. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 18, 2008
Bottle shared by puzzl. Hazy deep brown beer with almost no head. Pretty muddy looking, really. Sweet and very malty aroma with lots of rich toasted brown malt. Chewy and sweet and lightly plummy as well. It’s very sticky and chewy with a good balance of fruity/malty characters. It’s not bad, but it’s kind of boring. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - APR 5, 2009
Liquid Sunshine V. 750, capped. Great stuff! Crystal clear dark amber with bright caramel highlights. Big sweet fissy, plummy nose, maybe a little boozy. Creamy medium body, maybe a little sticky. Figs, plums, brown apples, and caramel on the mid-palate. egajdzis (6561) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2008
Poured a hazy brown amber color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, smoke, and light roast. Taste of sweet caramel, nuts, roasted malts, and smoke, with a bit of peat, and alcohol in the finish. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - FEB 24, 2009
