Keg @ McMenamins Lighthouse. Black pour with a thick, creamy tan head. Aroma has some mild chocolate, ash. A bit of earthy hedgerow character. Pleasantly dry and smooth. Lightly peppery. Some toasty nut. Pillowy mouthfeel. Fine carb. Solid dry stout that plays it straight. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 12, 2016
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2016 Tap at Kennedy School
A: Quite black with a foamy creme color head.
N: Cocoa, roast, burnt espresso, some mint, bark, earth.
T: Big bitter and roast, light sweetness.
M: Light body, soft carbonation, no alcohol.
O: Fine if a bit boring. Wouldn’t expect much else. Sledutah (7755) - Utah, USA - MAR 23, 2015

Clear dark brown with a medium sized tan head, good lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Taste of roasted coffee, ashy with a mild bitterness in the finish
(Tap) On Nitro. Pretty good stout, although it tastes just a bit too thin. I’d get it again thought. BuckeyeBoy (8182) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 12, 2014
On nitro at Bend pub. Pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts and some sweetness. Taste is as the nose reminds me of Guinness.

"had to try this (as it was St Patty’s Day weekend) but it was easily the weakest of all the newbies we tried in portland. nothing offensive, but next to all the liquid greatness we had, and even McM’s otherwise solid-if-not-spectacular line-up, this was just weak. boring watery aroma, and the rest was average at best. served on nitro."

On tap at the Rock Creek location. A pretty solid Guinness clone. Pours a jet black color, nitro head. A sweet malty nose with metal and roast. Light, smooth metallic roast flavors, some toast and caramel. Clean and tasty, kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Tap. Pours a clear dark brown, almost black, body with a small creamy brown nitro head. The nose is dry and roasty malt with just a light touch og burnt malt and minimal hops. The flavor is much the same, dry roasty malt, some light coffee and bitter hops on the finish. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a lingering burnt malt finish. Not bad, but doesn’t stand out from the pack. bpreo (2884) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 7, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 24, 2016 A wonderful Irish Stout with NITRO. Light and smooth and dry. Everything you want out of an Irish Stout.
Re-Rating 1/23/2016: If only the ABV was higher I would rate this a 21/20. Sampled at the University of Oregon campus location. ericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAR 19, 2013
Draft (nitro) at McMenamin’s, High St, Eugene. Thought the percentiles a bit harsh, but the raw numbers are about right. I’m a sucker for the style, so I had to review it. Pours an opaque dark brown/black, roastiness and chocolate prominent in aroma, body of course very creamy, a bit of liveliness to finish. Not my favorite ever, but not too bad in the end.
